Extra Terrerstrial Drugs?

I have been pondering this thought for a while. I really think that people here will give some good insight on this question. What are the similarities between us and them? Could they even possibly have their own form of drugs? Even at that do you think they could even have illegal and legal drugs? I don't know how to say this perfectly. Do you think they are even on the same "level" as drug use?

Meaning drugs i'm speaking of the mostly the "illegal" kind of drugs. Receational,Addictive,Psychadellics, you know.

Look into Terence McKenna's views on psychedelic mushrooms. He has some far out ideas, but they are certainly worth consideration.

Odd topic choice, but I decided I'd see what I could say.

Assuming that we are talking about intelligent alien life forms, then yes, I suppose they could have drugs.

However, you aren't being specific about what kind of drugs. I.E. Tylenol is a drug, coc aine is a drug. Big difference there.

I'll flag this, as I hope to see where this leads.

There's a lot of talk surrounding the Pharmaceutical industry being the major players hand in hand with the research the Grays/Reptoids do underground at the Dulce base.

I think it'll depend on what type of alien race we're talking about. Maybe a peaceful,spiritually enlightened race would use mind expansive substances to reach higher states.

If a hyper-intelligent race of 'beings' were to exist, I'm sure they would have some way of finding their "zen". However, if they were so intelligent, they may decide against such things, or, if they have a government likes ours, then they may have to use such things in a fashionable, yet discrete, manor.

No doubt every intellegent species has experimented with drugs...
on some level...

i think the ones we like to imagine, being galactic or intergalactic would definatlyhave used recreationally at some stages of development.

probably some far out psychedelic stuff too...

or perhaps just coffee and cigarettes...

In your mind when you picture a alien race. What kind of drugs do you picture them using? I mostly picture the psychadellics. I can't really picture a super advanced alien race having strung out meth users.

I would definitely say that an Alien race would, given that this is an intelligent species capable of intergalatical travel, or even galactic, would have the kind of drugs our minds wouldn't be able to comprehend, let alone use.

I would like to think that if it was a highly advanced species that they would be able to make thier minds act according to any drug state they chose, as the drugs used by humans only work on receptors that already exist in our minds.

If we had a way to access these receptors in our minds we wouldn't use drugs to activate them, but simply use mind power to stimulate that which we wanted to experience.

Just a thought.

I'd like to think an alien species believed in personal freedom so they wouldn't have any laws against drugs.

As for what kind of drugs they would have or use. I think they would be similar types to what humans use, Tryptamines and Phenethylamines would probably be common on other planets.

However their brains may work in completely different ways chemicals that are active to the human brain may not have any effect on their minds and vice versa.

I really like the way you put that. The human body produces pretty much every effect that all the drugs can give you. Wouldn't that be interesting if we could harbor the mind power to pick and choose which receptors to play with in your brain.

For some reason I can totally picture this being a way a super intelligent life form expands it's mind. It makes complete sense to me. Often times the reason drugs are looked down upon is the environment it brings with it. If the mind could produce it without the need of illegal situations, the grime, or the often questionable people it brings. I'm sure it would be much easier to achieve beautiful feelings and what not.

That is why I can picture super intelligent beings "channeling" the effects. Rather then purchasing, or even making it. That may sound very Earthly, but it helps make sense of things in my mind. Perhaps they have no laws like ours, who knows.

....side effects to alien drugs may causes severe sleep paralysis, along with pain to the lower rear region, hours later after the drug has been taken.

But I have a feeling aliens wouldn't even use drug, they have technology, if they want to put us to sleep I'm sure they'll have some contraption that alters our brainwaves. Or use nanomachines to target a tumor and etc.

edit: I changed my mind, I'd say they probably to some extent use drugs, just the really advance drugs, but only on rare occasions.

OMG! I just thought about an episode of South Park, the boys are in space and the space aliens are doing some kind of space dope, and they wind up sucking each others Marklar ( I think that is what they called it?) , Kyle got a picture of them doing it. Anyway, the picture saved the earth, earth was a TV show, and it had been cancelled, they were ging to obliterate the earth and the picture was blackmail to stop them. I love those lil guys!

my theory is that aliens put drugs on this planet in an attempt to lead people away from god. i think that aliens work for satan and may possibly wind up being the antichrist. it really makes since if you think about it using knowledge of various conspiracy theories. i mean if someone were to try to convince me that they were god, they would have to have higher status than just a politician or just an ordinary human claiming to be the ressurected christ. the bible says that people will be deceived and what better way to deceive people which is what satan basically does for a living. so why would it seem unlogical that he would get some entity such as an alien race to make such a bold claim? thats a bit off topic so ill just say, why would god, the creator of the earth, put something on earth that could lead someone away from the faith and destroy lives and homes? i think the aliens (working for satan) did it.

I tend to sort drug use into two different types (even if it might not be accurate to do so): drug use to escape reality, and drug use to expand the mind.

I also tend to believe that some of the reality escaping kind of drug use often stems from environmental pressures - neglect, dysfunctional families, poverty, peer pressure, physical pain, etc. I would love to believe that if there is an intelligent race of beings out there, that they are advanced enough to have solved these problems - maybe eliminating them entirely - therefore reducing the incidence of drug abuse.

Then again, these are human problems and maybe other races would have never had them in the first place. Again, translating to less drug abuse.

Then again, maybe these aliens wouldn't even have brains as we have, and so perhaps drugs wouldn't even have receptors on which to work.

Then again they might have drugs that don't need receptors on which to work.

There are too many options!!!!! It's too much pressure for me to think about all this!!!! I need drugs now!!!!

Jesus was an ET. I saw this documentary on the real life of Jesus from scriptures not included in the Bible by Rome and he sounded like one heck of a fun and loving guy. He was laughing and joking all the time and taking nothing too seriously, so I'll go for aliens on super skunk joints. Can just imagine them up there in that ship.............. oooo that's why they can't steer it properly!
