No, I totally understood what you meant. To people like us, this is something that shouldn't be the least bit suprising. But to see it exposed out in broad daylight and the blatantness of it staring you right in the face is enough to make ANYONE pissed IMO. I mean it's what we all knew what was happening in the back of our minds, if even in a subtle, underlying fashion. But this is like stripping the clothes off the monster and exposing it for its true grotesquery in all of its ugliness. lol

Maybe I missed something, but I don't see anything unusual here - or anything I haven't always known about the media. The media is friendly with politicians else the politicians wouldn't give them any face to face air time. Since the invention of the media, politicians have issued daily talking points and used their surrogates to talk to the media reiterating those points.

And some of it is just really stretching - like whole Rodney King thing - of COURSE you don't want reporters in the middle of a riot, especially not your average local reporter who has had no training on how to handle such a situation. They could easily get hurt. Of COURSE they don't want to go up and get involved with the protesters, because in a crowd type situation they could quickly overwhelm the reporter. No conspiracy...an interesting movie though - one of the few posted on ATS that I've ever found interesting enough to watch the whole way through.

I concur.

Interesting post and it's good to have this seen.

There are worse things being perpetrated in the media. Concerning the "news" you'll see completely fabricated events and "facts". Sometimes they're mistakes, sometimes the TV news is duped, sometimes it's the hyped up baloney to get you to watch.

What about the incredible amount of violence on TV, movies and commercials?

They censor ridiculous words and cover up the upper portion of someone's butt, but no amount of blood and violence is too much.

I believe if you really want to see how people's minds are being influenced we should look to violence in the video games, movies, TV and commercials.

They don't have to really work to control our minds, we voluntarily sign up for it, and pay money for it.

So true...we're all tuned into watching blood and gore and love it, yet when someones breast gets revealed (thinking about the whole Super Bowl incident), everyone goes crazy as if its the worst thing they've ever seen on TV. We are being fed what we want to see...

It's very strange isn't it? It's backwards. A woman's breast shouldn't be perceived as being so detrimental to our values.

Violence, no problem.

I noticed that much of the programming on TV now is about murder, gory forensics, and the most horrible, violent scenarios imaginable.

A lot of our music is depressing, contains neurotic lyrics or convey blatant violence. There doesn't seem to be much purely inspiring or uplifting music being played these days.

Ok good video and all, portraying the off air media stuff, but what really striked me was something else.

Whats with the sound loop being played a couples times at the beggining of certain frames? The sound with the woman voice and weird background sounds. To me it sounded like some sort of brain washing technique using sound waves and phrasing.

So my question is on what purpose?

my family used to have an old analog dish. the C-band programming was usually your network TV and paid channels. then there was Ku-band that had all of these feeds and there was no subscription plan to view them. it was just raw video stream. occasionally you could watch some of the nationwide programming as it was being broadcast to affiliates. you'd have the commercials that were meant to be seen nationwide - usually the show's sponsor, then the rest of the break would be just black until they came back.

i did see my fair share of nose-picking by news anchors and such. was fun to watch sometimes when there was nothing else on. we haven't used it in more than 10 years though so who knows if they still use it. i would assume it's all digital now.

Wow, actually a good video not like most of the stuff i've seen that's so slanted one way or the other.

I think the most "surreal" part was when Larry King was telling Bill Clinton how Ted Turner would like to "serve him". I thought the was probably the creepiest, most ominous thing in the whole video.

But yeah, this is definitely not a shocker by any means, though it doesn't make it any less disturbing!

Everyone *should* know that all the corporate media and news outlets are owned by the multi-nationals who use them as a mouth piece, and to censor anything incriminating (they OWN them, they decide what's AIRED on them.) What's so saddening is that many of the people I tell these things to hear what I'm saying-- THEY JUST DON'T CARE... They usually tell me "yeah, that sucks. oh well..." if they don't just tell me to blow off from the get-go... Most people are so apathetic to it, and they don't seem to realize how serious it all is, and that they are LETTING it happen in their apathy.

Sorry fellas, but all this is merely deliberate in my opinion. You think the people responsible for the broadcasting, the staff pulling the switches, the program editors, who have their sight on every action, and by some ignorant, naive way, they somehow miss this?
What about the pentagona's public visible ip's of not one subnetwork, which NT systems undergo attacks on regular basis, and everybody just comes with some shallow irreasonable explanations.
Sure the pretty guys in front do not need to be aware of such things. Larry, what about him, he is a mere "image", a conductor and so forth. Do not take this for a fortunate leaks, system breaches, caused by morons. Which reminds me the statement J.W.Bush gave live, on Blair's resignation, and dropped something like (I've watched CNN, but it was on every chann): "he would welcome similarly the new guy Gordon", doing it without thinking or suggesting, just straight sentence, though Gordon's name was just announced as possible..

These feeds do their purpose. Think of the trust you had prior watched this or other media exposing facts. The rating is firmly the same, I'm sort of diverting the topic, but got to point all aspects. You turn the TV on, and enormous spectrum of emitted messages more or less is being perceived subliminally, regardless all your training on subject, it's a biology! So, once again, the media stays on hot..

I'm trying to decide what bothers me most; the content of this brilliant, educational film, or the fact that I haven't heard of it till now? I sensed something like this was going on, but till now had no hard proof. I feel the saddest thing about this film is the fact that many Americans would refuse to believe it to be true! We still have people who believe everything they read in the news papers, and see on the t.v. news as gospel! I feel Larry Kang is one of the most greasiest people I have ever seen! I sense these things sometimes when I look at some of these folks, and it's nice to know my gut instincts are right! Spin dokters to the max!

Watch Clinton's finger when Larry King mentions Israel... (14:49) From my perspective, he seems to become rather agitated...

thebeard, please can you advise, what kind of dish is needed? What band, what diameter? Or just a regular 80cm Ku-band dish would do?
Also, I have googled for those receivers you stated, it looks like they need a Smart Card to operate. Is it true? Is there a way we can get such a card?

I'll have to get back to you on that, I'll be back at work on Monday and can ask the engineer the specifics, I work production so I just need to know how to operate most of the gear, not how it works. As far as I know the DSR4410 is just an off the shelf tuner, no cards involved, but I could be wrong. I'm pretty certain we aren't paying a monthly fee on it though, if it has a card it was a one time purchase.

The dish on the roof is a big one, not a little direct tv type. again, I can get the specs Monday. It has a pan tilt head with one box in the booth that aims it, other than that we just have the receivers to tune in the channels. The unity is a dedicated reciever for our Fox Ipump feeds so that may have some card in it that we get for being an affiliate, but the DSR3310 is what we use to get anything else. It's pro gear, but I don't think it is exclusive to stations by any means. If you have the cash, you can buy one.

Since I read this thread we have been watching CCTV9 out of china at work for entertainment, it's one of the free to air channels we can receive that is on the same satellite as our Fox feeds and it's really interesting to see what other countries put on the air. I don't understand the language, but the soap operas are just as entertaining as the American ones in context.

I think the satellite we are sitting on most of the time is Galaxy 11 which is C-band but I could be wrong, it may be Galaxy 3C which is Ku... click on either link to get an idea of how many different channels are available on each satellite up there. According to that link CCTV9 is digicypher 2 format which sounds about right, I'm pretty sure that's why we got the receiver we did, so we could get digicypher format. Like I said, we get a limited number of free channels with what we have, but with the right equiptment you can get more.

I'll try to get you a better picture of what we have on Monday.

Thanks a lot! Provided information is very interesting.
It would be great to know for sure which satellite are you aiming the dish at and thus whether it is a C or Ku-band. Also, it would be great if you could tell more about the data required to tune the channel, you get from the affiliates - what type of data is that? Are there some specific and complex codes needed to program the receiver with, or just some short PIDs, NIDs or such common things that we program our home satellite receivers to watch un-encrypted TV channels?

Yeah, that little statement did have me wondering.... What the heck is he doing telling that to a Presidential candidate? All of Lary King's statements in the video kinda creeped me out.
