Is John McCain a Double Dipper? A Triple Dipper?

On Wednesday McCain hosted former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, current Florida Gov. Charlie Crist and sitting Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal in Sedona, Arizona. A total of 10 couples were invited. Romney, 61, lost the Republican nomination battle to McCain, but has made clear he would seriously consider a vice presidential offer.

Crist, 51, hand picked successor to popular Jeb Bush, took office last year but has been more coy. Picking him could help McCain in the battleground state of Florida. Jindal, 36, who was elected last October as the first Indian-American U.S. governor, has said he likes his current job.

McCain's vice presidential search has been a closely guarded secret. He has said he has a list of about 20 names and would like to pick someone before the Republican nominating convention in early September. South Carolina GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham, a longtime McCain adviser, is expected to attend along with Connecticut’s Sen. Joe Lieberman now an Independent and a McCain supporter who was the 2000 Dems vice presidential nominee with Al Gore.

McCain's campaign promised to release Friday the details of his medical history to assure Americans that at age 71 he is healthy for the rigors of being commander-in-chief. From a report by Reuters

As for Senator McCains Military Pension:
Why is Senator McCain getting a $58000 disability pension. I dont question that he qualifies for a pension as an 06 with 22 years of service but why the disability status (that tax free status saved him $18000 on his 2007 Federal Tax bill)? The injuries that support his disability presumably came during his time in Vietnam. When he returned from Vietnam a Navy Flight Surgeon apparantly certified that he was 100 percent capable of returning to active flight status. So how and when did he go from being 100 percent capable of flying military aircraft to being 100 percent disabled in his pension status? Was there some kind of additional injury that occurred (did he hurt himself chasing tall blondes around odeur tables in Hawaii).
Only one of two (possibly three) things can be true.
One or more Flight Surgeons certified him to return to flight status when he was not physically fit (which means they lied).
Somebody certified him to qualify for a 100 percent disability status on his Navy Pension when he had previously been fit enough to fly multi-million dollar military aircraft after returning from Vietnam (which means they lied)
Or he sustained some additional injury during the last three years of Service that qualified him for a disability status on his pension income.
