Above all, America is hated because it is what every country wants to be - rich,

Something like 5% of Americans own 95% of the wealth in the US. Ask the millions in poverty or the 50m without healthcare if they are "rich"

I think this is close to accurate... but how evenly distributed is the wealth in Jolly ole England?

optimistic.

I think the US is the least optomistic its ever been now.

Maybe so, but this is opinion and not quantifiable.

Americans are brainwashed and conditioned from an early age into thinking their country is the best in the world.

I'm an American who grew up in this "system" and Isee our country warts and all. We are not all brownie baking Wal-Mart patriots. I see the problems in my country but sure as hell would rather have to deal with our issues than try to be living in Iran.
Besides, where do you get this crap that we are all moronis lemmings? Did you get this from the British system of brainwashing?

i think a lot of so called american haters from other countries are guilty of the same narrow-minded, stereotypical views that they accuse us of.

the US is one of the most ethnically and economically diverse cultures in society today. i've lived here my whole life and i still wouldn't make sweeping generalizations about the people on a whole.
