I have that terrible feeling again. And it still seems to involve tons of water. I was feeling pretty good for a couple of days, not getting many strong feelings, but today it is full tilt. Maybe the water part is simply because I have been keeping tabs on Venice. They are swimming over there, but it's not out of the ordinary. I keep feeling earthquake, earthquake, earthquake. It's really starting to scare me today.

How are the rest of you doing? Anything to report?

I just was just out on the patio, it overlooks a decent size retention pond that is usually teeming with life. Ducks, cormorants, snowy egrets, buy the dozens. In the water and at the waters edge.

There is not a single bird on the water. That's a first. There's a lone vulture soaring around, but that's it. Nothing at ground /water level.

I am at sea level about 4 miles in from the ocean, behind the barrier island.

Experienced sudden sharp ear pain for a split second about mid day and then major dizziness tonight.

Something is coming.......

I just now could'a sworn I felt a very slight shaking sensation, so I went to usgs.gov, and saw there was a magnitude 3 on the Oklahoma Kansas border, but it was a big yellow square, and they no longer indicate (that I can find) what the colors mean.

Edit To ad

I went back to usgs and the Ok was on 17th (as posted per usgs, though) but a bunch of 2s and 3s in California today. I live on the other side of Missouri from Okie. (NewMadrid land..)

When I took a quick look at quakes.globalincidentmap.com... I said whoa!

It took 30 seconds for this foggy brain to process this picture!

Then I looked at the dates, oh ok, now I get it.

Thats a great link, quakes.globalincidentmap.com... Just now, it shows a minor EQ in SouthEastern MO 2 hrs ago, but USGS still only shows that OK one from the day before

I learned, that if you put globalincident map without 'quake', it shows all the "terrorist" incidents!

Just be careful to use it for a quick overview. If you are researching use usgs.gov.

My link uses several different feeds and doesn't update with changes so it can lead to confusion.

And yes, it shows lots of scary stuff.

Hi, everyone!

Saw an interview with Michio Kaku this morning.
He said we had 2 huge solar flares over the weekend.
He was talking about the 11 year cycle. And how bad the flares were in 1859.
The Northern Lights were so bright then, that people as far south as CUBA
could read the newspaper by them! Can't even imagine it. Must have been beautiful!

That could explain a lot of what's been going on around here maybe!
I lost a bunch of my links when the computer went down the night of the hurricane.
Our son didn't get everything reinstalled yet.
Does anyone keep track of flares? Are they over for now???
WOQ sticks her head out from under the couch & cautiously looks around!!!

Did you see this yet???

ALABAMA 2.6 2012/11/19 15:20:10 33.690 -87.293 1.0

PORTLAND URBAN AREA, OREGON 3.2 2012/11/19 14:15:10 45.649 -122.764

SOURCE: USGS

Oregon & Alabama one right after the other! If something Jordan comes up today,
I'll really freak out!

I didn't see that....I'm a little freaked. I don't know what I will feel is there is a Jordan event.....

Meanwhile, I feel very odd tonight. I still have this damned rib pain, and I'm sure it's not any kind of heart issue, but I'm going to try to get my docs appointment moved forward tomorrow, just to put my mind at ease. I have no other symptoms at all, just this weird feeling of my ribs being squished out of shape. And ear ringing...it's driving me mad. It's been really strong all day today, started last night, and is getting stronger. I had to put music on last night in an attempt to mask it.

Perhaps the fact that they were little quakes can be reassuring to us. I don't want to think about the music thing too much cos you don't want to know what I've been hearing...

I was bibbling on the internet as you do and found this.....I'm still reading but I thought it was *very* interesting.

The Astrology of Earthquakes

Here's a little bit from the article....

November 13 is the second Solar Eclipse of 2012, and the outer planets on this date are within orb of activating the 1700 Cascadia Earthquake chart. On December 13, the Yod between Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto is getting tight, plus Saturn is squaring the 1700 chart’s Aquarius Sun.

To sum up, the astrology of earthquakes is in its infancy, and remains an inexact science. However, from what we have seen, 2012 looks like a potentially devastating year. Consider the dates within a week of the SuperMoons, and for location, Japan and/or Mexico City seem entirely possible. Chile, Alaska, and the California or Northwest coastal regions are also in the danger zone.

Just dropping in to say hi to everyone.
I've been following the thread but for various reasons decided to take a few days off from posting in it. Thank you all for keeping things going! (I'm not the OP of this thread. Just another member contributing like you do.
But I appreciate all you do.)

So many things to try and connect. It's complicated.

Are we making it too complicated, I wonder? And that is just wondering our loud. It's not a criticism, by any means. Just a thought. To put it another way, perhaps we are beginning to simplify it by not looking for all the complications.

Just a comment: I didn't know there was a Jordan in WA. That's interesting to know. I wonder what it means? (Not the name, but why the name.)

Have any of you read up on the history of "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot", like who wrote it, where it was first recorded and so on? Fascinating stuff. Wikie article about Swing Low, Sweet Chariot

By the way, folks, keep an eye on the region in and around Belize, in Central America. Nothing I can detail right now but the name came up as I was persuing the world quake map so I thought it best to mention it.

Okay, that's enough disjointed meanderings from me.
Catch you all later.

Mike

Please, please spill it sister!!!!
We really do want to know what song it is!!!
Unless Pennsylvania is in it!

It can't be any worse than what we might imagine!

That's a really interesting link. And a might scary too!
I don't like that it has something to do with '1700 Cascadia'.
I was just looking up something totally unrelated for hubby this afternoon,
& that came up first on a page! When I saw the same thing on your excerpt,
my eyes bugged out!

The list in your link had a super moon for April 6 & there were the two 8's on April 11th!
Those I remember, this old, tired brain would have to do some digging to check on the rest.

I really believe there are patterns in things, if we just know where/how to look.
Heck our kids birthdays in order by birth are:
Jan 20-boy, Feb 15-girl, Feb 20-boy,
Oct 21-boy, Nov 16-girl. All two years apart. 'Cept for the in Oct. (20 months!)
I was so upset that I messed up by one day with the last two!!!
They were all natural, no cesareans! Wasn't trying for a pattern either. Go figure!

Ruh, ro! Young kitty just now started trilling & going under the desk!
She didn't stay there though. Old cat is off somewhere sleeping...
So maybe it's nothing!

Ah ok, since you asked....I didn't really pay attention to the lyrics till I googled them but the song has been stuck there all day, and when I read the lyrics, I thought oh god, I can't really post this....people will think I'm being a right drama queen....here you go then....

I see the bad moon arising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightnin'.
I see bad times today.

Don't go around tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad moon on the rise.

I hear hurricanes ablowing.
I know the end is coming soon.
I fear rivers over flowing.
I hear the voice of rage and ruin.

I honestly don't remember the line about earthquakes in it at all, but there it is. Boo hiss.

I totally take Mike's point about simplicity, and if we are over complicating things, or not complicating them enough. It's hard to know. I also couldn't agree more with your thoughts on patterns, and strongly disbelieve the idea of coincidence. Apart from some random rogue events, which do happen, but rarely, in my opinion, there is pattern in everything, and it's up to us to decipher it if we are observant enough. Hopefully, if there is pattern here to find, we can at least make it useful to someone, sometime. That would be my only hope.

Caroline Myss once wrote that she had no idea how her spiritual ascension started, or how she got on the path she did. For all she knew, the gods could have hidden the trigger in something she ate.
My point is that nothing is truly mundane. It's all significant to a greater or lesser degree, and if we learn to read the information, it will tell us whatever we need to know. The really hard bit is to learn the language concerned with no template to work from. I guess that's why this is an experiment thread.

I'm very forgetful tonight too....I keep stopping what I'm doing and have to ask my lovely man to remind me.
I did read that solar activity can make us foggy, so I'm blaming that, It's not regular senior moments at all. Nope. Not one bit.

Whew! See, I really was imagining something worse than 'Bad Moon Rising'!
Somebody on Quake Watch I think, had posted a link to it before, Eric probably.
It's funny, but until he did, I never really thought much about the lyrics.
For sure I didn't waaay back, when it first came out!

I was worried you were hearing a song with another place name in it!

I never did find out if there are still solar flares going on,
but hubby felt horrible when he came home from work & took a shower.
I can remember once before that happened.
But I don't remember if anything happened quake wise then.

I wondered if the water conducted or amplified whatever he feels,
so that he felt it more strongly? But he said this is the worst he's ever felt it.
I should try & find the time to start keeping a paper journal!
That will be one of my New Year's resolutions!

Young kitty just woke up & started crying, (usually she only trills),
came over & started clawing me! Then she walked away & went back to sleep!
See what happens in the next few hours. Usually if something happens,
it's within about twelve hours.

Wow, I was "feeling" the Illinois quake coming. So so sleepy, foggy, and dizzy. Just now perked up enough to get online and see what was going on. Hopefully that will be all for the time being.

VERY quiet few days on here and QW thread! I've felt fine, cats and kid are all acting normal enough. I'd say I feel like something is building, but I can't be sure that its not just due to the quiet. although I have been checking here on waking and before bed, just to see if there has been any action. Calm before the storm?

edit to add, on thinking about it, I am sore too, my wrist had been giving me grief the last few days, and my ribs towards my back are hurting.

Same here...
Hubby is loving feeling so good!
He told me not to check USGS, that I'll jinx it!

There was a big boom here yesterday afternoon though.
It shook the house & rattled the windows.
At first I thought hubby dropped something huge upstairs.
Then I realized it was too big a boom!

I was all excited...Seneca Guns!!!
But it didn't really sound like that & there was only one boom.
Plus nobody around here ever felt shaking with those before.

Then I thought of Indiana!
But I didn't have time to pull up the scanner on the computer,
we were just getting ready to leave the house.

Our daughter told us later that she saw on facebook that whatever it was,
happened a couple of miles back the road from us.
It shouldn't have been anything serious or we would have heard about it by now.

I can't imagine what it could have been, nothing industrial back that way.
We used to be out in the 'sticks', but housing is encroaching on us!
Maybe we haven't heard anything because they didn't find out what it was yet?
Or....maybe somebody trying to deep fry a turkey that went horribly wrong!!!
