Look, when I was young --about 40 years ago or so-- we were socialist (that wasn't as bad where I come from as it was in America), and the hotest
thing a young person could do was to go to Isreal and work in Kibbutz.
Israel was seen as a socialist country back then, and I do think Golda Meir, Ben Gurion was another kind of people than the leadership they later
had.
For me it changed with the attrocities done/allowed by the Israelies in Shabra/Chatila under the ciommand of the later PM Ariel Sharon.
Look at him now, second year in coma, the poor fella can't even die.
