Following the release of X Files by the French national space agency in March, British military UFO hunters with exciting names such as Defence
Intelligence 55 will be making their case files public. There are 24 files each containing 200 to 300 reports of sightings.
If you’re interested the National Archives are hosting eight of the files in .PDF format, but only for a limited time apparently, so get them while
they’re free.

Anyway let’s talk about me
Many years ago a mate of mine was driving past the old Royal Ordinance factory at Euxton, Lancashire. He saw a light in the night sky, apparently
following the perimeter wall at speed, as the light approached the end of the wall it shot up towards the heavens and disappeared. He told us all
about it the next day; we all smiled and wondered if he was mental. But it turned out two policemen also claimed to have seen it. It did make it into
at least one local paper. I can’t contact him at the moment though so I can’t ring him to confirm the details, but I think the paper that reported
it was the Chorley Guardian.
So while I believe lights shooting through the sky are more likely to be seen over an advanced weapons factory, I’ll be sifting through these to see
if he made it into the X Files.
