Do you believe in UFO's and aliens?

I do not. I think there is an explanation for everything.

I think a UFO is just something that is unidentified in the air.

That is the perfect explanation
So as such, I believe in UFOs in their true sense.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane?
Once you claim its an alien spaceship, then it's no longer Unidentified

I think its possible that aliens can visit us on Earth, I just don't believe it from the evidence we've seen so far. Every 100 years we claim we have invented everything that can be invented, and then we prove ourselves wrong.
So it's not that big a leap of faith to think that aliens who could be hundreds, thousands or millions of years more advanced than us have the required technology and had it for some time.

If you want to think about how technology could have been more advanced than it is now, then think about Heron of Alexandria. He invented a steam powered wheel (aeolipile) in 1st century BC. This guy was a genius. If he had concentrated on the Aeolipile the Romans and Greeks would have had steam power almost 1,800 years before the Industrial Revolution.
We could have been almost 2,000 years more advanced than what we are now. What would we have been capable of?

Hi there! what is a ufo?

A UFO is technically an "unidentified flying object," nothing more nor less.
Any object that flies and cannot initially be identified as an airplane, helicopter, blimp, balloon, kite, or any other object that normally flies, is a UFO. Many flying objects that are listed as a UFO can later be identified as an object made on Earth, then they can be called an "IFO," or identified flying object.

The most generic definition of an Unidentified Flying Object, or UFO, is any flying object or phenomenon that cannot be identified by the observer. Various studies show that after investigation, the majority of UFOs are usually identified, and are relabeled IFOs or Identified Flying Objects. Therefore, some stricter definitions reserve the label "UFO" for only those instances where the objects remain unexplained after a proper investigation

en.wikipedia.org...

sometimes we need to. I have discussed and will continue to discuss the bad wrap that people get when they report a UFO. But, we must remember that the acronym UFO means exactly what it is an abbreviation for, and nothing more or less. This really is important when one begins to delve into the mass of reports that are made on a daily basis. If an object is seen flying, and the person seeing it does not know what it is, it is a UFO to them, at least on a temporary basis. Now, when the report is analyzed by one in the know, the status of unknown may change.

If it is identified then you could say it is a IFO, or identified flying object. Unfortunately, not every case can have a conclusive tag given to it. It is true that the majority of UFO reports are eventually identified as something everyday and explainable. But, there is always that small percentage that falls through the scientific cracks.

ufos.about.com...

Ufo`s are every where and there is alot of information of them here on ATS!
Have a look and learn

I agree. I have to say that I don't believe in Ufo's only because everything can be identified and therefore are not ufos.

A UFO is ANY unidentified flying object. It is often assumed that they are extraterrestrial - but not necessarily the case. Good to clarify this

I think that we should make a new name for an alien spaceship because their is no clarification on ufos. Whether aliens or unidentified flying objects.

Any ideas of what it should be.
