This article is like a James Bond movie, except no James Bond, but CIA.

In January 1982, President Ronald Reagan approved a CIA plan to sabotage the economy of the Soviet Union through covert transfers of technology that contained hidden malfunctions, including software that later triggered a huge explosion in a Siberian natural gas pipeline, according to a new memoir by a Reagan White House official.

Real Life Spies

"Reading the material caused my worst nightmares to come true," Weiss recalled. The documents showed the Soviets had stolen valuable data on radar, computers, machine tools and semiconductors, he wrote. "Our science was supporting their national defense."

Any comments on the mastermind thieves.

If this news is from couple of decades ago, what is the CIA doing right now? Sabotaging equipments in China? Or undermining terrorist attacks from the Mid-East?

well other than hiding Bin Laden and trying to remove Aristide from office, I'm not sure what else the CIA could be up to.

Do you think it will take this much time for this big a superpower to remove one guy from office? I don't think so.

What did Aristide do to the U.S.? I am not literate in Haitian politics.

Just did. However the sources see U.S. from a bad view. This maybe true, but also may not be true.
