You're In a Traffic Jam and Some Guy Gets in the Open Lane and...

Just an educational piece:

The people who think they're special, and go up the closed lane to the end are practicing the most inconsiderate and dousche-bag measure known to man.

The people who get into the lane that the signs say is open are the good citizens, because they have the understanding that, even if it takes longer, they are playing by the rules and aren't screwing their fellow man.

The reason traffic jams slow down as much as they do is due to the fact that people who think they are "special" accelerate their vehicles to the absolute last chance of getting into the "open" lane. This slows down the rest of the people who play by the rules.

If you've ever been in a situation where a "Big Rig" gets into the lane that is closed ahead, and goes the same speed as the person beside him, the reason is to close the lane that is closed up ahead, so that everyone is forced to go the same speed until they get through the obsticlle that is ahead, due to (among other reasons) fixing of the infrastructure.

So I plead with members here, if this is the only thing I can achieve on this site, PLEASE just get in line...Understand why the person gets into the "Closed" lane and have a little common courtesy for your fellow man. You (those of you who think they're special and don't have to play by the rules of traffic) who think they are special, and are "Smarty" because they see an opening and go for it are causing nothing but more wait time for the citizens that understand and play by the rules.

Wake up.
