I find it quite strange that today on the news in the uk it's announced that the UFO files between 1978 - 1987 are to be released by the Ministry of Defence and today an announcement is to be made also by NASA...

Agreed, but it's kind of ridiculous that they are said to be releasing 200 documents over the next four years and that the released docs will only be free to download for the first month...

Sounds a bit less than genuine intentions to me.

Not to mention that the Vatican has just yesterday pretty much accepted the possibility of alien lifeforms. Although we have been consistently let down by our government and they probably just found a new moon on Uranus. (TEEEHEE)

I'm assuming it's going to be standard time, so you might be waiting a good 2 or 3 hours to hear anything.

If You're in America, you might have to miss your morning nap for this.

EDIT: *Notes location*

Ah.

You in a rush or something?

It'll be about 4 o'clock where you are when they release the info, if i'm right about the time zone of course.

;/

School is school, if it's going to be as big as my paranoia-box is shouting incessently (it never shuts up) you'll probably hear about it in school from the teachers.

I dont know why we're so anxious.

I dont think its going to matter a hill of beans what they say. As usual.

They have been looking for 50 years for something...hmmm. so they knew it existed, but couldnt find it?

I hope its exciting news! Somehow i think it would be interesting to the Einsteins of the world, but to us, meh!

I could be wrong.

It seems that from what Richard Hoagland said it will have to do with some sort of deep space confirmation on objects and x-rays they emit in space or some such study of the cosmos in relation to areas of space and matter. But he also say its like a "time released pill" that it is part of the whole, the coming announcement, to get people ready for ET life in space.

"Exopolitics, ETs & the Vatican
In a special evening on the subject of 'exopolitics,' several guests reacted to the Vatican's comments about aliens (see below), and the UK's release of UFO files. In the second hour, UFO journalist Paola Harris noted the quotes that Rev. Funes made were likely sanctioned by the Vatican, and they may be preparing us for something. Richard C. Hoagland also joined in, speculating that NASA's upcoming press conference may reveal an important astronomical discovery.

In the third hour, researcher Dr. Michael Salla suggested the Vatican's comments on alien life were significant, especially following on the heels of a UN meeting on the ET presence in February, which he said called for more openness amongst countries.

Known for his work in Canadian exopolitics, Alfred Webre appeared in the latter half of this hour. He believes the Vatican may be reevaluating cases deemed Virgin Mary miracles such as the Fatima incidents, and possibly considering them as UFO encounters. In the last hour, Michael Salla took calls from listeners. "

Astronauts say there must be life in space

May 12, 2008 - 4:37PM

The human race will find life elsewhere in the universe as it pushes ahead with space exploration, astronauts back from the latest US space mission said Monday.

"If we push back boundaries far enough, I'm sure eventually we'll find something out there," said Mike Foreman, a mission specialist on the Endeavour, which returned to Earth in March.

"Maybe not as evolved as we are, but it's hard to believe that there is not life somewhere else in this great universe," he told a news conference in Tokyo.

I wonder if this story is a precurser to this announcement..
