Hasn't this sort of thing always gone on? In WWI the performance of the first battle tanks was hugely exaggerated on news reels seen by movie-goers - most of tanks actually broke down or were disabled. Same for the F117 Stealth Fighter in the first Gulf War - was very over-hyped. I assume the media has been spoon fed propaganda about wars (and everything else...) in every country since, well, the media became mainstream.

Can somebody explain why this is any different? I'm not being argumentative or bringing down the great efforts of people researching this - I'm genuinely interested

Thanks

Because in WWI there was no Internet and in the Gulf War we did not have the human or technological resources on the Internet that we do now.

We're doing this because this is a prime example of the treasonous actions of this administration. There is no doubt that past administrations have done the same thing, but this is the situation now and it would be best to deal with the present rather than the past (i.e. propaganda in the Gulf War and WWI).

This is cleary covert propaganda operations mounted against the American public by their own government.

These docs can now be searched in two places:

scribd

sourcewatch.org

Here are some reports from The Center for Media and Democracy (CMD) on the Pentagon scandal. Look under

Reporting on the Pentagon's pundits

half way down the page.

www.prwatch.org...

Pentagon Pundit Scandal Broke the Law

I hope this thread gains renewed interest on ATS and twitter and Digg, etc.....

The MSM isn't going to cover this. It is up to alternative sites like ATS and its members to keep these types of crimes against the citizens in the forefront.

I rarely flag threads.

I've flagged this one.

Keep up the good work, everyone.

Let's see what falls out when those documents are shaken.
