Hasn't this sort of thing always gone on? In WWI the performance of the first battle tanks was hugely exaggerated on news reels seen by movie-goers -
most of tanks actually broke down or were disabled. Same for the F117 Stealth Fighter in the first Gulf War - was very over-hyped. I assume the media
has been spoon fed propaganda about wars (and everything else...) in every country since, well, the media became mainstream.
Can somebody explain why this is any different? I'm not being argumentative or bringing down the great efforts of people researching this - I'm
genuinely interested
