Tomb of Mary Magdelen Found In France

cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com

Was there a Jesus-Mary Magdalene bloodline? Does evidence exist? BLOODLINE follows documentary filmmaker, Bruce Burgess, into the so-called “bloodline conspiracy” that claims Jesus Christ married Mary Magdalene, who escaped to the south of France following his crucifixion, with their child.

I'm new here so I'll leave comments up to the experts.
The Templars might not be happy this was found.

The evidence presented in the video link is a bit of a joke... the guy found a rotted corpse in a tomb, and comes to the conclusion it's mary magdalene. I petition you to add a "?" question mark to the thread title, and if it were me it would be a 1000ft tall neon question mark relatively close to an exclamation mark or 3.

I agree with what another posted said, the title is misleading.

On the other hand, it is still an amazing find if it is in fact genuine. And even if it doesn't turn out to be Mary.

I wonder how it has not been found before though. Certainly there have been people working on this theory for decades now, long before Dan Brown cam along. The authors of "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" in particular. In fact, I would like to hear their input on this find.

I also wonder how this filmaker happened to be the one to make such a find. Something seems off.

Nevertheless, starred and flagged.

I wonder if the tomb had artifacts in side of it ? Was any other bodies buried near the tomb ? I think there will be alot of questions that will come out of this find.

I think this is crazy. So they found a grave there are millions of graves in our world. And, he wants to point out without any real proof or name or markings and say this is Mary....

Next they'll find a baby that died young buried really close and they well say we ran the DNA and this indeed matches the woman (mary) this is more proof that its her and her child. This must be Jesus' child.

Like women don't have children and children don't die. But, its got to be what he said cause he's making a movie and well you know got to have those facts.

Bruce Burgess - My Space page

This looks like a very interesting movie with more evidence to add to the Bloodline theory.

Interesting find.

I, like others, believe its too early to start yelling conspiracy on this one.

Not sure of the 'Knights Templar' credo, but would a woman associated with them typically be buried shrouded in their insignia?

Seems a little off, but could lend some credibility to the fact of it being an important person that was buried.

Is there any mentions of the items they found with the corpse. I realize secrecy would have a better payload at the box office, but it would be nice if they dropped a couple hints. Something they found with her may point towards it being Mary.

All in all, it should make for an interesting documentary.

True or not it makes for fascinating story and speculation. I think Christians all yearn for some evidence of god. Something more than faith, so I can imagine this will really upset anyone who is scared their blind faith may come into question.

I suspect this is targeted marketing. Of course, on the heels of this news comes soon to be releases media for our viewing and reading pleasure.

Interesting, however he has absolutly no proof to back up or even make the claim that this is mary magdelen at all. The only thing he has going is that this woman was of middle eastern decent and she had had items from jeruselem buried with her.

Thats all that he has got and he is jumping the gun and saying that this might be mary and she might have been married to jesus. It's preposterous and rather irresponsible to make such wild claims without proof.

However how would one go about the proof that would make people believe anyway? Does anyone have a dna match that is Jesus's? Even if you did how would you go about making a connection between this mumified corpse and Jesus?

I mean there would have to be mumified love gravy inside of the corpse in order to test to see if Jesus had any relations with this woman. That of course is to assume that this woman was married to jesus and they had had intercourse right before she died.

Nobody is yearning for evidence of God because there is already plenty enough to go around.
Even if we knew what Holy DNA was like it still wouldn't proove this is Mary Mag because she was human.

Well from my athiest point of view that is exactly the same claim that christians make about christ. I mean let's take one big main point "Jesus was the Son of God". And the evidence is ? There is not one physically item of proof. All "proof" is based on the writings of people who believed he was........hmmmm. Any alarm bells ringing there?!?! Don't forget there are two relgious belief systems that still revere Jesus as a prophet but don't recognise him as the son of god. Why are they wrong and christians right ?

Belief, faith etc all tenous no substance.

Now here we "may" have physical evidence of something from the same time frame. If it is genuine, from the same time frame and the source middle eastern, I suspect some proverbial hitting the fan. Of course No amount of evidence which contradicts belief in the christian Jesus will ever persude those with faith to lose it and therefore this will all be denounced as a fake.

Sounds to me like a guy trying to plug his new movie, when it comes to advertising never let the truth get in the way of a good story

This is nothing more than a rehashing of The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail by Michael Baigent released back in the very early 80's.

Others have either expanded or just stolen from this work.

This is one of those great ideas on paper type things.

I'm wondering why this woman was found buried in Knights Templar garb. They weren't exactly contemporaries.

Think about it like this she could of been the wife, mother, or daughter of a night templar who was hit hard by her death.

There could be a thousand reasons for this. No where does it say it is Mary M.
