OR, they've been pumping it all along, lying to us about where it's coming from, and gouging us at the pump for no other reason than "because we can"

Something reeks of BS..

Hmmm. Now that's interesting. So either we have been using that oil all along and now it's about to run out. Or they have been letting some trickle out all along, and they are about to cap it as a "reserve" by telling people that there is nothing left. Seems to me that they probably understate the amount of oil there.

Or... It's being shipped underground for use when the surface of the planet becomes a nightmare...

A thought.

I actually had to modify it a bit to get it into ATS avatar parameters. Here's the original...

yes I do as well as all the vocal diva house and pop dance stuff...yes sir, I do!

Howcome, no new posts on the video...I keep checking, but a few days have gone by and nothing?

When he said all that oil up there...I wonder if the oil guys/gals (er...I would wager a bet mostly guys but that's aside from the point) were referring to the oil NORTH of that area?

Wondering if anyone has been able to confirm any part of Lindsey Williams' story? I picked-up on it a year ago...and in the interim, I haven't come across any evidence to substantiate it.

I researched The Oil Drum...probably the most educated collection of energy-buffs on the Internet. The handful of posts I found on Williams were off-hand dismissive...nothing positive.

With all due respect, his contention that oil prices are dictated each day by representatives of the IMF/World Bank...simply doesn't hold water. Also, my Internet skills aren't the best, but I was unable to locate a reference to the Arco senior executive...Kenneth Fromm. Maybe some-one else can. Lindsey's other witness, former Colorado State Senator Hugh Chance, passed away last November.

I did find a missive that Williams wrote last year on the US Dollar: The Condition of the Dollar

He makes the following claims:

March 21st 2007 will be one of the most significant dates this month. Iran has outlawed the American dollar and will put anyone in jail that uses it in their country after that date.....

....The real issue in Iran is NOT nuclear, but rather the decision to not use the American dollar for trade and the sale of oil. On the heels of Iran's decision, North Korea has followed suit and also outlawed the use of the American dollar in their country. Finally, Malaysia the next day did the same thing.

We all know that Iran recently ended oil transactions in Dollars, but the only links I can find on Iran banning it's citizens from using their Dollars locally...refer me back to the Williams article.

Korea trades for oil with Iran in non-Dollars....but....Malaysia outlawed the use of the Dollar? They scrapped the Ringgit/Dollar-peg back in 2005, but as far as I know, Malaysia still prices crude & palm oil in USD. Granted, Malaysia and Iran are Islamic allies, but the Malaysian national oil company; PETRONAS...just signed a 25yr production sharing contract with ExxonMobil (1st quarter 08)

If you go to Williams' website, you can hire him for speaking engagements, register to attend a Wealth Seminar, or become a Pipeline member for $20 a month. He's pretty good at promoting his book, and several CD's too.

Pardon my scepticism...I'd really like to see Mr. Williams vetted.

Like most of us, I'd like to believe the Gull Island story, and there may even be some elements of truth to it...but overall, it's a little sensational for my taste. Not only does it fly-in-the-face of everything I've learned about oil, but how could the industry suppress a story that big for over thirty years

Bumping an old thread here but I just found the movie (in its entirety) last night on google vid

video.google.com...

I was searching for more info and wound up registering here.

This guy has a club, a newsletter for $20 a month! Yikes.

I also ran across the information that oil is coming down from Prudhoe. Although several years have passed since this movie was made, the Iraq and Iran thing sure has seemed to pan out.

My question is, ...if we have enough oil to be self sufficient, why would Iran flooring the price on oil be such a huge threat? Sure, it would destroy our economy but wouldn't we just be able to switch to our own oil reserves (if our dollar is worthless to the rest of the world) so we can work through it?

This video is now one of the most shared on google so the vid is getting watched.

His speech is wonderful and is still available. If you have dial up, you may want to give it a half hour to load before attempting to play it. For those of you with DSL or similar, it should load just fine right out of the box. But, what you need to know is in his book, which is no longer available in print but can be downloaded or read on the net right here:

www.reformation.org...

It would not surprise me if this link goes down soon. As far as I know, this is the only place where you can read his book and it's free. Download it to your hard drive and/or print it out. This is the entire story and really puts focus on all that is said in his video speech. You really need to read this to get a full grip on all that has gone on and IS going on right now.

I believe this guy but what I don't get is what connection does the dollar as a currency have with the amount of oil in the market. I mean, suppose the iranians will flood the international AND the american market with oil, that makes nothing until it is oil for CARS and TRANSPORTATION only. If you were attentive, CRUDE oil was used to make plastics (except from diesel) and this would affect the market by flooding it with everything else I think and thus, devaluing the US dollar. It would be good if someone more competent would give us a more detailed connection between the "oil currency" and the connection with it's value in the capitalist market.
Thank you.

Your going to find that Williams has retired from the lecture field, due to heath, family, and even fear for his life.

Perhaps you might re-view the video with your question in mind. I think the connection between the Dollar and oil was made quite clearly.

The value of the Dollar is based on oil speculation, as opposed to precious metals as it once was. The key problem with this then, is that the value of America's currency is dictated by an international cartel and banking elite which control the world's resources, as opposed to our own agenda and aspirations as a nation.

I watched this in one lump (instead of eight parts) by going to google.com videos. I just looked it up again and it's still there.

Do I believe him? I believe he is not trying to deceive us and I feel his concern for the world that his young son (who can be seen later on in the video) is about to inherit.

AM I worried? You bet your sweet patoota I am, especially if there is going to be an escalation in warfare.

I'm kinda curious. Big oil already has land purchased for the persuit of drilling and siesmic tests show oil. I wonder why they itch to get their hands on ANWAR when there are already fields they can Tap. Secondly. We export a lot of oil we get from fields currently running. Why? Couldn't we be using that oil?
Third. I live on the east coast and on any given day, I can go to the beach with binoculars and see tankers out there waiting to unload. They are so heavy they are barely out of the water and they often sit there for MONTHS.
If oil is so hard to come by, why do these tankers sit in a holding pattern for ages? I think It's to create a crisis. Could be wrong.
These are just a few ? that I toy with

The key piece of it all that I think most people aren't focusing on is....(because he should've emphasized it more)....is the contract that he speaks of....(of which I would love to know the name of BTW)....dictates that as long as we continue to purchase oil from them, THEN and ONLY then would they CONTINUE to buy our debt. That is the debt that we CANNOT support without their contractual agreement.

I'm still connecting the dots as I have just finished watching it, but what I believe what would happen if Iran flooded the market with cheap oil is that the world would demand that the world buy from them. and thus the dilemma.
