Disclaimer: I'm a theist but not of the Abrahamic faiths. I have minor biblical scholar and scriptural skills. ALSO! I've had computer troubles for past fortnight and haven't posted since then and so I apologize for any inconvenience caused by this delay (it appears I've been logged in all this time OMG!).

Thanks for the "Heads Up" information misswanderer31 as that scriptural information is exactly the sort of gold nuggets and gems that I was looking for. Well Done on a precise concise on target post.

Personal Disclosure: I gave up WHAT! Man oh Man that makes me a little dirty with myself that I would give up something that cool. What the hell (it couldn't of been of heaven as I was willing to give that up apparently lol) was I thinking?

Thanks for your input Sparky63 and your use of both scripture and linguistics.
And thanks also for trying to set me straight on this as I could of easily over looked such details.

Personal Disclosure: I'm investigating this ASAP but have a lot on my plate at the moment and so I as of yet undecided on this matter.

I almost got caught up and was going to attack her ideology but its not yours and 2nd theres no need as your asking about linguistic and lexicological stuff (how stuff was written down and does it mean what it says?) and all I can reply is as this book was so important that those many priests whose job it was to "keep the record straight" would ensure the correct story was transmitted generation to generation by value and use of Occams Razor in that the simplest meaning of the word involved is what they (the writers, in this case GOD) are trying to transmit.

hey, i can live with that response, in the sense that it was very fair minded.

(i really need to re-read up as to how to do certain things. Such as adding multiple quotes. Then to, i'm still a bit unsure how to bounce back n forth from what i'm typing, to re-reading what someone eles has typed without erasing what my response is. So, for now i have to try to rely on memory, and that's not very reliable. and too, this causes much to be by-passed.)

anyway,,,in brief at least to the quote above...what comes to mind is an example using "Revelation", perhaps.
"There is no way in the world anyone could make heads or tails out of most of that book were it to be "lexicological"", could they?
Would'nt we be looking for a literal "beast?", with "7 heads?", to come "rising out of the sea?".

i do get the gest. of what you are getting at. Yet there "are" portions of the Bible that really are a bit complicated. So much so that 3 lifetimes of study would probably not unlock full understanding.
Then considering many words we use today didn't even exist a few thousand years ago. Or had different meanings altogether.
Anyway, the mp3 does have an answer to your qoute above. And what seems to be a very sound one at that.

and the fact they were covering themselves, "below the waist??!", would seem a strong indication something sexual took place as well.

The mp3 does cover alot of ground. And really does seem a much more rational/compatable scenario.

Either that or, as we have all been taught in Sunday school by those that have been taught what to teach, "Adam and Eve disobeyed, and simply for that all humanity was handed a death sentence".

I'm leaning toward the mp3. That Eve was sexually seduced by Satan.

www.mt.net...
only further seems to confirm the pieces are starting to fit in a much more logical, if not startling way.

dirtusbagious I'm still a newbie too and I haven't even tried the quote thingy and prefer to quote manually by hand so to speak so well done on working it out
now as to the points you raise in your reply....

1) you say and I quote "anyway,,,in brief at least to the quote above...what comes to mind is an example using "Revelation", perhaps.
"There is no way in the world anyone could make heads or tails out of most of that book were it to be "lexicological"", could they?
Would'nt we be looking for a literal "beast?", with "7 heads?", to come "rising out of the sea?", I believe that John was looking with heavenly eyes when he saw what he saw in Revelations and therefor everything he saw was distorted and warped those that rose colored lense which from GODs and the angels POV is the correct way of viewing things. So yes there is a lake of fire and a beast with 7 heads but only from a "HEAVENLY" POV and not an "EARTHLY" POV. I have no idea what the beast with 7 heads might comprise from an EARTHLY POV. Note I did not say the earthly POV is wrong but I agree that it may be that it appears clearly different in constituent parts to its heavenly image. I would say its then beholden to us to view the book from the right POV (i.e a heavenly one) but where is the manual to reading the Bible and shouldn't it of been self contained?

2) you then state and again I quote "i do get the gest. of what you are getting at. Yet there "are" portions of the Bible that really are a bit complicated. So much so that 3 lifetimes of study would probably not unlock full understanding" and here I fully agree with you.

3) this was followed by you stating and I quote "Then considering many words we use today didn't even exist a few thousand years ago. Or had different meanings altogether." which basically agrees with my POV on whether GOD/YHVH meant deceived or seduced when talking about Eve and the Serpent.

and Finally...
Personal Disclosure: 4) I will investigate the "covering themselves below the waist" for its context ect and listen to the mp3 again to fully get the concept right in my head.

P.S I will also check out the weblink you provided in your reply ASAP and I will get back to you with my thoughts and feelings concerning this matter.

"hi",

again a very fair response...

I realize there are some very bizaar interpretations out there these days. And some very strange philosophies being brandied about.

Among the biggest being that Jesus is not devine, that the Bible is of pagan/mystical origins, so on, so I think it is wise to be cautious of ones "new" supposed in-sites.

However, I have provided the mp3, and then too, the website i included in my previous comment is of the very best. It includes pre-Adam history, the "face on mars", and above all, it does tend to back up its claims with "concise" in-depth scriptures, rather than one-liners and vauge referenses so common today.

I really hope you spend some time there, dig around a bit. As mentioned, it is of a high standard in regards to understanding that truth is so much more interesting than fiction.

not to mention, a much better perspective of reality.

best...

Personal Disclosure: Thanks for the "heads up" information and I will keep going over the mp3 for any uncovered gems/nuggets and will investigate the website you provided at my leisure over next few weeks. You have been starred by me. Well done!
I enjoyed this thread immensely and have flagged it.

my very first flag!!! thank you very much!!,

When I first stumbled across this story, I found it to be very interesting.
I felt myself of the fortunate even to be able to consider this possible deeper understanding.

sooo, I just wanted to pass it on. And am glad to know someone eles enjoyed it too.

ps., I have recently posted another thread, perhaps quite controversial as well, in regards to standard Biblical teachings.
It's titled "The Un-Salvation" Message". It goes into the question "is baptism required for salvation? (you may be surprised of the answer).

So far it has'nt recieved much interest. Maybe the title? Or, maybe simply just no interest.

anyway, it's been nice chatting. Maybe again sometime on another thread?

cheers,
rs.

alot of crazy stories out there...

as a true believer, and "in Biblical context" (rather than some "new revelation", or, "lost book"), i believe this account truely makes sense.
And right there in glossed over passages from the Bible Itself..

Please check out the mp3 link provided on the article. The story of what very well may have happened in the garden begins approx 1/3 of the way into the mp3.

no reading involved, just sit back, listen, and really begin to understand, in less than about 15 minutes.

thank you,
sincerely,
rs.
