I almost got caught up and was going to attack her ideology but its not yours and 2nd theres no need as your asking about linguistic and lexicological
stuff (how stuff was written down and does it mean what it says?) and all I can reply is as this book was so important that those many priests whose
job it was to "keep the record straight" would ensure the correct story was transmitted generation to generation by value and use of Occams Razor in
that the simplest meaning of the word involved is what they (the writers, in this case GOD) are trying to transmit.
hey, i can live with that response, in the sense that it was very fair minded.
(i really need to re-read up as to how to do certain things. Such as adding multiple quotes. Then to, i'm still a bit unsure how to bounce back n
forth from what i'm typing, to re-reading what someone eles has typed without erasing what my response is. So, for now i have to try to rely on
memory, and that's not very reliable. and too, this causes much to be by-passed.)
anyway,,,in brief at least to the quote above...what comes to mind is an example using "Revelation", perhaps.
"There is no way in the world anyone could make heads or tails out of most of that book were it to be "lexicological"", could they?
Would'nt we be looking for a literal "beast?", with "7 heads?", to come "rising out of the sea?".
i do get the gest. of what you are getting at. Yet there "are" portions of the Bible that really are a bit complicated. So much so that 3 lifetimes
of study would probably not unlock full understanding.
Then considering many words we use today didn't even exist a few thousand years ago. Or had different meanings altogether.
Anyway, the mp3 does have an answer to your qoute above. And what seems to be a very sound one at that.
and the fact they were covering themselves, "below the waist??!", would seem a strong indication something sexual took place as well.
The mp3 does cover alot of ground. And really does seem a much more rational/compatable scenario.
Either that or, as we have all been taught in Sunday school by those that have been taught what to teach, "Adam and Eve disobeyed, and simply for
that all humanity was handed a death sentence".
I'm leaning toward the mp3. That Eve was sexually seduced by Satan.

only further seems to confirm the pieces are starting to fit in a much more logical, if not startling way.
