Joint Chiefs Chair: US Prepping Military Options Against Iran

rawstory.com

Adm. Michael Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that the Pentagon is planning "potential" military actions against Iran.

Addressing concerns about the US military's capability of dealing with yet another conflict at a time when forces are purportedly stretched thin, Mullen said war with Iran "would be 'extremely stressing' but not impossible for U.S. forces, pointing specifically to reserve capabilities in the Navy and Air Force"

I cant imagine Bush/Cheney will let their term pass without getting the Iran "party" started.

It would mean trillions more to the coffers of their cronies of the military industrial complex.

Apparently Gates, Mullens and Petraeus are onboard and they're ratcheting up the rhetoric like they did last spring, but you should be really worried if you have another "revolt of the generals" and CFR heavyweights like Brzezinski making speeches against Iraq and the GWOT again in the Senate. Not all players by any means are onboard for an attack on Iran, and internal dissent is the biggest check on Cheney.

That said, more American soldiers will die, more civilians will die, more terrorists will be emboldened, more of the international community will turn their backs to us, trillions more in long-term debt will be borrowed from the Fed (goody for them) and I bet you anything...

It is the amount of fiat money the Fed can load u s that will make this war the most palatable option for the PTB. As a result the corporate media will ratchet up their most devious schemes yet to ensure enough of America is 'on board' to get this under way.

I can see them all now, self-professed 'leaders' of America, wringing their hands in glee, knowing their true masters will be pleased. Watch the Junta at work. They are in a hurry now...,

Fallon is gone and Petraus is in. Looks like maybe Iran will be dealt with and the proxies stopped. I think Israel might start it when Hamas and Hezbollah are done arming themselves. A sign might be when the rockets start flying into Israel again only this time with 4x the strength of the 2006 war. This might just push them into a corner with the only option being to start taking out Iranian arms factories which are hidden withing the population so it might get nasty. Then the US and her allies will jump in to help. Will this be WWIII?
