Your connection to GOD! internal, external or combo?

Hi my connection to my GOD/DESS (The greek goddess Achlys [you'll find her image on hercules shield!]) comes in the combo form of internal prayer and meditation and external worship via focused communal and enviromental interactions and I would be very interested to hear other peoples perceptions on where their focus of connection to their GOD/DESS is and possibly why their focus is such as it is.
