I have a disc with about 700 Iraq pictures on it. Is there anyway I can upload them to where everyone can see them without uploading them through the member center one at a time?

Do you really want to show all of them?
Why not make a small selection and open a Yahoo Geocities (free website) account.

I'll probably do that... how many pictures can I post in 1 reply though? If I can, i'll just put the good pics in the thread I made...

Why don't you just post the URL's of the photo's, instead of the photo's themselves.

Well... it won't let me load them here on ATS because it says they are to big, and geocities will only let me upload like 8, there's no way I can get all the good ones in in just eight. Does anyone know where a free web-site service is that will let me upload all my pics?

A Yahoo account will be over-run and shut down very quickly if you host the pictures there.

How much total (in megabytes) are the pictures? 700 images is a LOT, probably too many to host on my site. But let me know, I may be able to help.

Try here too:

can't you resize the pics a bit? You get 20 MB @ geocities. That should be more than enough for 30 or 40 big photo's...

The disk is about 635 MB... i don't have to use every picture though, so it would be cut down to say, 400 or 300 MB

hmm that's quite a lot...

You could try this webhoster: www.hostgator.com...

2,000 MB and 20GB of bandwidth traffic for $9,95 /month

but that's probably a scam anyway...

===========

Why don't you try to make a selection a 30 good photo's and upload them to a geocities account? Or open a couple of geocities accounts...

Good god, those are huge image files.
If you don't have an image editing program, go get this one and trim those things down a bit. You'll be hard-pressed to find anywhere with the space & bandwidth to host all those as they are now!

These pictures are from a CNN reporter that my dad met in Iraq. The guy had an extra disc so he gave it to my dad. So these are high-quality pics, and that's why they are so large...

You need to put them on your computer and resize them. If they are in like bitmap (.bmp) format, that would definetly increase the file size, so you could save them all as png's or jpeg's, gif being a last resort. Then you could probably upload a good share of them somewhere.
