So I saw this documentary on History Channel called "Roswell"The Final Declassicication". Is it safe to say now that The Roswell incident had nothing to do with an extraterrestrial crash & is more of a military project (Project Mogul etc)? I know wikipedia is not that reliable but the entry there does lean towards Roswell being a myth.

William "Mac" Brazel was not held in jail for three days to a week for finding misidentified balloon debris.

But that balloon debris was said to be classified & part of some military project so it would also be understandable if Mac Brazel was held in jail for debriefing or something.

The other military project aside from Mogul was Project High Dive which used dummies that might have been mistaken as aliens by the untrained eye. Aside from "Roswell"The Final Declassicication" I also saw "Roswell: Secrets Unveiled" which wasn't for the "extraterrestrial crash" either.

Ok this have been debunked, i mean the Oficial explanation many timeson ATS..

Yes there was a project high dive..but on the military records its show it started on 1953, there is no mention they use this before that....the roswell crash was at 1947...so this claime is false by the military. So if it wasnt dunnies what it was????

This was the first mistake pointed to the military after they did do the final roswell study case closed a few years ag, to this date they have not say anything about this find.

I think you didnt research too much and believe everthing they say on TV progran like Facts...

Well done Alex

"Another one bites the dust."

Believing everything you hear from all media is silly without trying to look at it from other points of view and thinking about the spin.

Originally posted by KidYamamoto I do recommend to you guys the follwoing documentaries:

"Roswell"The Final Declassicication"
"Roswell: Secrets Unveiled"

After watching this, it looks like maybe what the military said is true that the Roswell incident is just part of a military project.

I have read & did my research & yes I am aware that Project High Dive was years after the 1947 "crash". I think I remember Stanton Friedman stating this. But I was thinking what if the witnesses had recollection of the aliens (dummies of Project High Dive) & thought that that time frame was in 1947? Give the 2 documentaries a chance & tell me guys what you think.

Looks like no one would want to dispute that the Roswell E.T. crash never happened.

No, I am pretty sure everyone quit reading when they got to the part of your post where you implied you learned the truth from a history channel program.

I suppose you believe all their 911 horse # shows that describe just how possible the pancake theory is.... even though its.... impossible?

Quit watching main stream media, its all a lie.

Hi KY: Yes, it's true the HIstory Channel is not that accurate. I've uncovered quite a few mistakes on their part in documentaries. I was watching "The Plague" last night and they actually said that the Plague ended the "Golden Age" right before it. Huh? Those were the Dark Ages, not a Golden Age.

Anyway, about your question. You might like to read Jesse Marcel, Jr.'s book "Roswell Revisited" or some such title. It's the only book he's ever written so it will be easy to find. In it, he talks about how his father was high up in intelligence and that he would have been very familiar with balloons, etc. and that what he saw was not in any way a balloon. There's more to it, and the book explains it better than I can.

I interviewed Jesse last summer and he came across as a very solid and gentlemanyly person. He remembers the night his dad came home and showed him the material that had been recovered. Both he and his dad have said "It was not of this Earth". Jesse's dad (Jesse Marcel Sr.) had his picture taken, the famous one of him holding the debris. He said that when he got to the place where his picture was to be taken, he was given very different material to hold up and that it wasn't the stuff that he had found and handled.
There are many other things that are unexplained, but after talking with Jesse and reading his book, he makes a very good case that it "was not of this Earth".
Hope this helps.

I agree with most of the Punters here that the History Chanel isn't too accurate. It merely caters to the mainstream and doesn't dig too far - especially when there is evidence to the contrary that will bungle their angle on things. They look for the easy answer every time. The path of least resistance.

History Chanel = Rank Amatures!

Though I'm not 100% convinced at all the witness testimony re: Roswell - The Airforce are definitely STILL telling pork pies.. and consistently putting their foot in it too! Time compression anyone?

The Roswell case is far from dead!

The only credible person around here that has done any kind of extensive investigation into this is S. Friedman. I recommend you read his books. There is much more evidence to support an alien origin than there is to support a military origin.

like was said earlier main stream media is a joke. Its there to keep the ppl happy. "oh..it was a milatary operation..so everything is ok and my lil scope on the world wont be challenged by something thats more advanced then me"

When the time comes we will have to admit we are NOT masters over science ..which is alot of the problem..ppl see themselves as mastering science and control over nature. When Et comes down and says "oh sorry..your so wromg about that" it will rock our worlds..and ppl dotn want that challenged..see what i mean.. Just my 2 cents

My problem with Roswell is over the years, many alleged witnesses keep changing their stories, adding details with each interview ( or new book).

True, there is the tourism aspect to consider, keeping the story alive and what not.. How many " Ufologists" keep re-hashing the same book over and over, merely adding some long mis-remembered detail from someone who had a friends uncle who worked with someone who knew a guy that worked at the base and saw the wreckage?

Or watching Frankie Rowe well up in tears in each interview as she remembers the cruel mis-treatment of the Army to her family.

I'm reviving this thread because I felt offended by the History's Final Declassification story that I watched today. If you haven't watched, it's on YouTube

According to it all points that the balloon story was a coverup for some secret military project regarding some radar test or smth. In this video some of those say that the US made one disk shaped type craft and that that's what people have seen all the time in the 40s-60s.

They also laugh at whoever says that there has been ET crash in Rosewell. They all think this was a cover up for the military test project based on the documents declassified.

Projects such as 'High Dive' and testing animals in high altitudes - specifically apes are the reason if ever found to be small bodies, bodies of these chimpanzees and not alliens.

I feel disappoint, although I never really thiught of Rosewell as the biggest UFO cases as it is so unclear. I also feel angry because they call the cases there due to US disk shaped object? They even explained the radation exposure caused by it... Whoever was in these movies, were some debunkers why even use them to talk about a UFO case? The ones in the movie were simply ignorant or clueless about later UFO cases. It's like they have explanation for everything and it's dumb to say all the cases were military experiments...

I felt like shutting down that TV after seeing which direction this movie was going, like if im going to hear that all is man made, then how come they do so unknown physics flying operations. It was horrible, the people who explained it as if they all are so knowedlgable calling all normal, it gave me an amount of skepticism though as Rosewell may really be not alien related and this feels disappointing.

I'm inclined to believe a Project Mogul balloon was what crashed on that day. I find the "extraterrestrial" story to be too riddled with lies and distortions. Some of the "key witnesses" are not very credible IMO.

But when the Army announces "Flying Saucer crashed" you are inclined to think its a real Flying Saucer.

just wondering what you have been doing since you joined ATS in 2007?!?!?!?!?!

you're satisfied with 'the history channel' 's and 'wikipedia' 's side of the story? if not there's more than enough threads here at ATS where you can discuss with members and also information THROUGHOUT the internet about the roswell incident if you really want to encourage yourself to researching
