When did an Iraqi shoot a weapon on American soil ? I must have missed when we were invaded or something . Point is . If they were not there no one would be shooting at them at all.

This is about a phone call anyway .

You post has been reported . Your wants hopes and dreams of our family's deaths are not wanted/needed here . Please grow up and learn to use a little bit of tact.

[I would like to go off on you but i suppose i can do it to the next account you sign up with after your ban]

My position stands. His punishment was fair and could have been avoided .

[edit on 13-4-2008 by d11_m_na_c05]

I would rather be banned from ATS than to have to put up with you equating your father as a truck drive to someone in Iraq that can only make a call at certian times of the month to their son. Ban me, warn me, tell me I am a bad, bad person. I could care less...

Too bad your feelings are hurt... Go cry somewhere else. My post is spot on and I will reieterate it. I hope you follow the rules when your father calls, you don't take the call and then the worst happens to him. Be sure to come back and cry here. I will be waiting....

I appreciate your feelings on this subject and agree. You sound like a reasonable person so I implore you to not let those TROLL LIKE characters bait you into getting yourself banned. We need more people like yourself who understand how much our soldiers mean to us.

Are you kidding me .?He called for the death of my family and father saying he would bask in the thought . You are friggin demented if you support this guys posts. Regardless of your stance here .

I wasn't able to read the post so I cannot confirm what it really said. If it did indeed say that, it was highly inappropriate. His overall point aside from the personal attack, was correct however. I simply don't understand what your problem is with regard to soldiers wanting to serve their country???????

Im sorry i just cant respect anyone who has/will might or could kill innocent people, kids or babies ect. Do you have allot of pen pals on death row?
Heck im sure allot of the people they killed "had it coming"

This is a sad statement made by someone who is angry and doesn't have the understanding or emotional maturity to know what's happening in Iraq. Don't be angry with the person, just pity him.

And you edited that...

I really feel sick at the world around me today, and comments like that really just make it worse.

Edit: were talking about Soldiers, not people on death row.

But see that is where this is all wrong. If you can't see that the educators hate the fact that this kid loves his father and that was the true motive here then you have some learning to do.

It had nothing to do with the disruption of class. These kids should be able to take a call from Iraq at any time. They should be excused to the hall to have their moment of peace of mind.

These schools need to nourish the love these kids have for their families but that is not the agenda. Break the family and enforce rules at all cost and you agree with it. Take your punishmet if you will. You are a fine robot of the state.

There shouldn't be punishment for loving your father... There shouldn't be punishment for loving your country either. The public schools and people like you feel differently I guess...

Follow those rules buddy and have a nice day....

Sorry, jedi, you're not entirely correct...

The topic includes "took the call from his father, who is serving in Iraq".

While i do not support the war, either; I ALWAYS SUPPORT AMERICAN
FORCES!

I don't think you'll influence people, or make friends, with your current
attitude about our troops!

Shouldn't you be denying ignorance?

I'm just saying that doesn't make any sense. If you don't support the war, then why do you support the troops? They are the war.

What a sad statement. You should care. Those are our friends and families dying over there. If you agree with it fine, if you don't, do something about it to get them home. Regardless, they deserve our support and respect and you have none for those brave soldiers. It makes me sick.

If theres ever a fight on this soil i will have all your backs 1000000%

Unless you mean you'll be hiding behind my back, I simply can't believe that statement based on your previous posts.

No it's not hard to respect soldiers for doing their jobs, as a matter of fact, if I had my way, it would be required. Maybe you should separate the soldiers from the government who sent them there. Maybe you should respect the soldiers and disrespect the government.

If everyone had an attitude like your throughout history, we'd either be speaking japanese or german.

No the war comes from the Bush administration. The troops are like a bullet in a gun. Do you blame the bullet when someone pulls the trigger or do you blame the person that pulled the trigger?

Regarding the suspension? NO he should never have been suspended. We have alot of soldiers with children serving VERY long tours and schools should set up a program so things like this can be taken into account.

Wow you keep falling back on that VOLUNTEER thing. OK lets go ahead and go with your logic and say since you volunteered, it's your problem, you're not getting any consideration from us. Now lets take that one step further and since that is going to be the attitude from everyone just like yours, nobody will volunteer. OOPS, we have no army. NOW WHAT ? We have no defense because we didn't want one based on our stupid attitude toward those who VOLUNTEERED.

So you don't blame the administration for lying and starting the war but the soldiers who are just doing their jobs?

So if the company that loads your dads truck, puts illegal cargo in it, your dad should go to jail regardless of whether or not he knows the cargo is illegal.

Texas is 1 of many states with school-faculty, who punish kids for doing normal things. The federal-government, public schools, and their missions are ridiculous & deplorable.
