If you are interested in joining the Fraternity all you need to do is ask a Mason. You might want to stop by your local lodge and speak to a few of the Bretheren and possibly take a tour as well. Best of luck and keep us posted.

Any ideas what would happen if I reported back to ATS about secret mason stuff?

It does not fit my agenda to get kidnapped in the middle of the night by men in black robes

I'd known about the Freemasons for a while, so it came as a real shock when I discovered they were operating out of my very own quaint countryside town!

I realised that what I thought was just an old abandoned building had Freemason logos on the door, and once when I was out running I spotted a black limo pull up to the door and a bunch of suited men go inside, along with guys in red robes!

I talked to my mother about it sometime later and she said when she'd been working as head of Tourist Information in the area she'd found all the most important people in the area wore Freemason rings, and that around 90% of the priceless Saxon, Roman, and Georgian buildings were owned by the Masons! Even her new boss in a hotel is a Mason!

Luckily, I managed to score a Freemasonry ring, so I've considered trying to get into once of their meetings!

It's only a small town, so I'm sure the evil they plot in that old black building isn't too daunting, but still anyone who's seen 'Hot Fuzz' will know even small towns can have big conspiracies!
LOl gonna take more that a ring to get in my friend.

The only 'secret Mason stuff' there is are the modes and manners of recognition. If you were to r'eport back' on Above top Secret regarding them you would be firstly, breaking your oath, and secondly, letting your fellow Brothers down.

There is no Masonic 'punishment squad' that will kidnap or otherwise bring you harm. The failure to maintain your oath and the knowledge of your own untrustworthiness is punishment enough.

If I understand correctly, all you need to do is ask a mason, and that starts the proccess.
Woof, talk about slow, need to get better about posting responses. There have already been several replies...

In oregon the petitioning age is 18 and most of our lodges open on whatever the degree the candidate is so he can sit in lodge with us. There is no age restriction on completing the degrees if you are at least 18. And masonic rings are not sold in our lodges specifically, sears and Jcpenny's sells em.

Does any one know in which rituals the red robes are used?

There aren't any.

Costumes are sometimes used in some of the degrees, but there are no degrees where the degree team wear red robes.

Every freemason is in for a big surprise when they realize what they have been part of all along when the time comes.

*sigh* .. I know, its true.. if only real Freemasons had better Youtube education like you do.. we just might learn that we are mind controled drones..

Those who think Freemasonry is ok, good just a fraternity nothing else with tradition has alot to learn.

Could you please educate me on what Masonry is then? I mean, you NOT being a Mason, surely you understand more? ..

They won't learn it from their elders,
they will never be told by those who are above them,
only the very few and elite with highest degrees are aloud
for such revelation and it will never be spoken of.

1. Elders?
2. Whos above me?
3. 33rds? .. That's only the Scottish Rite..
4. Never be spoken of, yet you are so enlightened about it?

ARMEGGEDON

So .. Masons are actually working with Reptillians from the planet oogabooga and plotting to end the world.. for secret reasons.. and in a secret method...

Yet you, some kid in an arm chair watching movies on Google and You Tube.. well.. how can some ignorant Mason like me compete with such outstanding display of intelligence that you use from such credible sources of information ..

I mean seriously.. why the hell do we need schools?? .. We can just educate everyone off Youtube videos! Then we can ALL be as smart as you! .. THEN us ignorant Masons would learn the errors of our ways, and stop working with evil aliens from oogabooga!

It really bugs me the ignorance of some people.

They make these insane comments and acquisitions with no legitimate proof to back them up other than some fruit cake who has made up aload of crap!

Yet the brethren who are active members, who have taken their vows and do what they can to help out the community, know nothing about what they do? We are members within freemasonry but we have no idea what goes on?

I mean really, some people just love a story to give them the feeling they are all so wise and powerfull. Maybe if they helped out half as much as a masons does towards the bettering of the world, the world we live in today may actually have a chance!

In England (where to OP lives) there is one robe I can think of which is a bit red-ish in one of the side orders. But it never leaves the lodge room. Someone arriving at a lodge room in a red robe therefore can only be:

1. The Lord Mayor
2. Someone attending a fancy dress party at the lodge rooms
3. I have heard rumors that Superman had joined a lodge in the West Country and this may be confirmation of that (see my thread on the Loch Ness Monster joining the Royal Ark Mariners).

For the most part, I agree with that...I'm certain there is no shortage of Muslims (and many other minority groups) out there who would agree fully. However, these groups can dispell the ignorance by simply inviting outsiders in and being open and honest. The masons, by virtue of their oaths, cannot. Furthermore, when a person makes an oath to keep secret the acts of another, regardless or morals or consequences, the person is no better than the one they are protecting.

You seem to think you know me!

Do I get my information from ubtube videos or anywhere online for that matter. NO

Do I have direct sources. YES

Do I know about Freemasonry? YES

99.999% Freemasons IMO are good people just left in the dark
as to what is really going on behind the curtain!

Not here to convince or argue with you.
Take what I have said or leave it!

Where do you attain the information (or lack of) that you share with us?

Do I have direct sources. YES

Like what? .. We are all direct sources, Freemasons from around the world.. how much better could that get?

Do I know about Freemasonry? YES

No..

MMkay.. here is where your argument lacks a logical foundation.

99.99999% of Freemasons are good people, just want charity and all that.. ok...

.0001% (which would be like 100 people if that) are controlling.... what? .. Controlling the masses? .. How, why, and umm .. no ..

You have to understand the governing system of Freemasonry.. Masonry is a DIRECT Democracy.. all laws and allocation of funds are directly voted on within the lodge or a Grand Lodge communication.

EDIT: And before you say because we all vote on everything we do then we all must be evil alien conspiractors.. the Communication is a replica of the English House of Commons.. essentially chaos where topics like "should we be allowed to have a can of beer on Masonic property grounds" takes on a moral argument of the likes you have never seen.... Not exactly the type you would imagine that is taking over the world you know..

If .0001% of the Masonic body is corrupt and running the planet, which they are not, then they do so on a personal level, and it has absolutely nothing to do with Masonry.

Though I freely admit.. if Masons and Freemasonic principles ran the world.. it would be a far better place to live.

No you don't.

I recommend reading the definition of a conspiracy.

Just because you common Masons are ignorant of secret societies doesn't mean they do not exist.

You tend to think that way however. Self-flattery is easy.

ARMAGEDDON!

Better?

Even my misspelling could never change the facts about
Freemasonry and it's involvement with other secret
societies throughout the world!

Thanks for the spell check!
