Today, more than 23,000 representatives of private industry are working quietly with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security.

The members of this rapidly growing group, called InfraGard, receive secret warnings of terrorist threats before the public does—and, at least on one occasion, before elected officials. ... But there may be more to it than that.

Its called Infragard, check out the link on Wikipedia and others-it exists. Is the US government rewarding businesses who act as snitches on the US population? Looks like it to me. Rewarded with advanced warning of terrorist threats?

Shouldn't we all get this critical (possibly life-saving) information at the same time as rest of us? Of course the 1st responders and law enforcement should, and do, get the terror warnings first, but this is OUTSIDE of that scope, this applies to businesses, corporations.

What is unclear is the question that if martial law is raised, most laws get thrown out of the window, don't they? It's kind of a free-for-all with the gov't/mil in control of everything. So in my view, that wiki edit is disingenuous at best.

I think we all know that wikipedia is publicly edited by anyone that wishes an edit, including the corporations involved in the wiki page. Tampering and exclusions have been documented by IP address as being performed by the host organization or other concerned party (FBI/NSA etc).

It sounds almost too conspiratorial to be true.. So, it probably is. The plot continue to thicken. Good Find BSG. Have a star and a flag on me.

Well if you have the answers or have enough sources that say otherwise . Go edit the page. THAT is why you are able to edit it is it not?

that sounds crazy. i wish i was a store owner. just kidding. im thinking about signing up with infragard. its free too but they do background checks. i have nothing to hide.

Sure I can edit, but you would find that edits are overridden by more senior and other Wiki editors there. For instance the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Disaster in Alaska Wiki page is rife with bias in putting Exxon in a nicer light with regads to the incident.

Gee, wonder who edited that page? Exxon. According to the IP at the time of the edit. These and more nefarious edits are documented at Wikiscanner, check em out. The Exxon edits are just tame examples of hidden agendas and bias on wikipedia.

They say nothing of the 250,000 sea birds, 2800 otters, 300 sea lions, numerous orcas, numerous bald eagles that immediately perished in the spill.

Instead they say nothing about numbers at all. Its a way to lie about an incident without lieing.

Another loop hole to disseminate information that will only serve to break down the Republic and give vital information to the enemy. Great.

♦ Yes thats how I see it as well, but not a loophole, more of an enticement, like giving candy to children to bribe them to behave (as some parents do). I view this as a way to latch on to the businesses (they already have the large corps) and have them be on the gov side, it's like taking sides.

Scary thread, but I agree with Rockpuck... the only "shoot to kill authority" the people need is for the establishment to take the first shot.

We had a huge thread on this back in February, titled

"FBI Deputizing Businesses and Granting Them Shoot to kill Rights!"

'They' are not stupid, they are not planning on taking the first shot as you say. What they will do (are doing, have been doing) is to slowly erode our freedoms, slowly infringe on rights, slowly add Orwellian themes and intertwine these themes so as to have the average American not 'perceive' these threats as being actual threats.

It is the old "cooking a frog technique": "We're just going to take away some of your liberties to protect you from the mean old terrorists." Turn up the heat. "Ok...we need to take some more of your liberties to protect you from the terrorist." Getting hotter. "Here...we want you to wear this ID so we know where you are at all times" Oops...too late...You're dead and cooked.

Now if they turned up the heat immediately on the frogs, the frog would just jump outa the water. ie: if they instituted these drastic steps immediately, we would not take to it as we are now doing...

I can only hope this is true. I hope "W" shuts down CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, and FOX. Then burns any building that has "Times" on it. "W" the great would be better than any of the idiots currently running for Prez.........

Most of our troops are not overseas...we have almost 3 million soldiers, the vast majority of which are stationed in America.
