Children Find Womans Head On Beach

A woman's head, hidden inside a plastic bag, has been found by children playing on a beach in Angus.

A human hand was later discovered by police officers, who had cordoned off the area near South Street, Arbroath.

The head was found by two young sisters at about 1030 BST. They ran home and their mother called the police.

A spokeswoman for Tayside Police said the force was now attempting to identify the woman. A specialist team is searching the beach.

"Scenes of crime officers are in attendance and an extensive search of the beachfront is continuing at this time," the spokeswoman said.

"The items are being removed and will be subject to further detailed forensic examination."

That's gonna be some traumatized kids after finding that on the beach.

Don't think I'm gonna see them out there buildin castles anytime soon, that's for sure.

It would make perfect sense that he found the picnic table to be an unsatisfactory sexual experience so he went to the beach for a little head.

we had something similar happen here in the poconos pa a few months ago. penndot found a garbage bag containg body parts along 1-80 and subsequent police investigation found about 7 bags stretching over about 14 miles of 1-80 and 1-380. should be able to find the stories at www.poconorecord.com

No one is probably going to believe this, but I had a very similar event happen to me when I was seven or eight, at the shore in New Jersey. I felt something bump my leg, and thought it was my little brother swimming underwater for a second. It was not. It was someone's head. Black hair, four or five inches long. Couldn't have been in the water too long I don't think, since strands of skin were just starting to come off.

I didn't speak for almost a week, and finally had to tell my mother in a note. I still won't go to the beach to this day.

Oh my god...those poor children... I can't even begin to think of the therapy that they are probably going to need... How traumatizing...

Well, then again, maybe they won't need as much as you would think... due to the de-sensitizing and graphics shown in movies today...

Really, i wonder if this has anything to do with all the "right" legs and sneakers they have been finding lately. Does anyone else wonder why only "right" legs???

I believe you. I am very sorry you had to experience that. I hope that one day you will be able to reclaim the beach- however, with all the pollution I doubt you will be missing much.

I know it sounds extreme, but its true.

They are either
a.) Doing the thing that feeds their desire
b.) Thinking about doing the thing that feeds their desire

Jail for Life maybe... none of this "Jail time with the chance of Parole." Even thought the debt to society has been "paid" what is to say they won't do it again when they get out? While they are in there the whole time they are thinking about it...and planning the next attack... Repeat Offenders are a prime example...

Pardon me, but England and Scotland are not the same. They may both be a part of Great Britain, but they are not the same and never have been.

That would be like saying that New Mexico is the same a Mexico. Or that New York was the same as Virginia.
