Is being funny bringing me down?

I just wonder, is the fact that I like to joke and be funny screwing me up?

to tell a tale, after work I like to go to this bar, it's the only bar around my house that is open in the morning, (I work nights) so I am in this bar and the bartender jokes that I didn't bring her any French Vanilla creamer so I don't get to drink.

I think mmkay uh I must have missed that mind reading class at hogwarts or something. But also think ok clue given.
( I don't know, women apparently give clues that they may like you, but want your sorry ass to figure them out when they give em)

So today I show with the requested bottle of French Vanilla Creamer. The bartender laughs her ass off and says "your too funny".

Is this a problem? I get this a lot on this board too, is being funny actually a detractor from women being attracted to me?

Should I suppress this urge to make people laugh around women? Is there something unattractive about "being too funny"?

Haha, that was pretty good actually.

Being funny is usually a plus, however you can definitely overdo it if your not careful. You gotta be cocky and funny. If you're only funny all the time they will think you're just a clown.

And make sure not to laugh at your own jokes cause that's lame and it's usually a sign of insecurity.

Funny is good, and fits you very well!
It can be annoying used at the wrong times though...

The Hogwarts joke was a good one!

She could have given you a clue, or just have been doing her job, just keep paying attention, and dont forget to ignore a lil...lol!

If that happened to me I'd probably flirt back a little making them think I like them. And then I'd tell them little things that make them think I might not like them.

And I'd just keep doing this push/pull till it drives them insane, leaving us no choice but to escalate to a physical level to relieve the tension built up from wondering whether I'm into them or not.
