Sorry it took a few days to get back to you, to answer your question it looked as if it was coming off the object you could see it raditate out from the object and not a very far distance past it that's why I used the examlpe of heat coming off a cars hood. You can see the heat come off the hood but it only distorts lets say 4-6 inches of the space around the hood of the car except, this was all the way around the object like a shell.

Maybe a anti-gravity device or some sort of cloaking device that relects light?

I have heard this before in descriptions of daytime ufo sightings. Several times actually. I could not even begin to speculate why or how it would do that. Interesting story.

Thanks for the reply, I would say then that it was shimmering itself. I used the example of heat to describe what it looks like but as I looked at the object you could tell it was not a reflection it was coming from the object. I don't really understand the physics of it or how the light reflects but it was about 12-1pm I know that because the sun was pretty much above me and I was going to Reno that day to gamble with my fiance well, wife now but she picked me up at 2pm. Hope the info helps.
