This is a FAKE and here's why: Thisis a comment copied from a poster on youtube:

"At 20 secs the craft goes out of view just past the roof of a building if you notice the craft is then higher after a half second and back over the building it already past. This video may be a fake."

And it's damn true. This is a fake.

I don't have any supporting evidence but the way it comes through the camera, makes it appear to be fairly CGI. It just doesn't feel genuine at all.

In support of the video foot:

A good reason for the shaky footage is that the person recording it is watching it without the viewfinder, as I would.
Nice and smooth flight (most of the way)

In support of fake status:
The jump in height
The short amount of footage

My View:
Fake
although it does look like the ship from Asteroids

...so it may well be on its way to save the Earth!

Fake!

And yes, as another member noted, it's had a thread about a year ago and was quickly deemed fake for all the same reasons cited above.

It has more to do with juveniles vying for their 15 minutes of fame on the highly disposable YouTube scene than it has to do with UFOlogy!

Given all the hoaxes on YouTube, I'm surprised anyone from here goes fishing there. One by One they are debunked into obscurity yet ATS members continue to make the same mistake of posting them over and over again - giving those little pre pubescents exactly what they wanted. Their lame video discussed seriously on forums such as this.

I can see them now with all their mates huddled around the computer, high-fiving each other and laughing at us!

i'm not sure i see the jump in altitude here. looks more to me like it's above a relatively tall building, there is a bump, we lose sight of the craft, then it appears over two relatively short buildings. altitude looks fairly constant to me anyway.

the shortness of the vid plus the fact that it stops just before the craft would have to go behind tree branches say more to me about the vid being bogus than anything.

Yep. I saw it last year. It was added to YouTube May 01, 2007. YouTube link.

The jump in height is so weird it might even be real.

It seems like I've seen this exact video before ... without sound and with a different shaped UFO. But it was the same buildings, passing behind the same antennas.

I'm going to try to find it now.

Well, I don't go fishing for anything, however, once in a while I do come accross something interesting that I feel merits a discussion and what better place to go than here, especially when I want some help figuring out what something is. I agree that most of the youtube stuff out there is crap, kids with too much time on their hands, but I'm not going to discount everything, 100%, no doubt about it just because it came from youtube, google or wherever.

This is good, this is raw, I can't really disagree about this one because It was a shaky cam video and those could be potentially hard to edit in objects like you see on the screen. If we had an exact range of the object like the distance and its elevation than we can shoot down all the skeptics. I'll bite for this one because the guy was particularly excited about this and maybe someone else has footage of the same triangle hopefully so we could at least get more people on this. Just saying you folks should keep an open mind on this and at least try to not jump to conclusions here and test the facts.

In my honest opinion all videos like this are fake and always will be even if it isn't. To many ways to cgi a video now days and people are gonna yell fake! no matter what.

It looks to me to be the stealth fighter with the wings pulled back. It stays in a constant line.and you can see the turbine on the rear. the angle of the camerea doesn't allow you to see the cockpit. and i have seen them in the air before.

Definitely gotta be a fake! 'Woah woah woah where are ya' and then it is clearly much higher than it was. Use the corner of the building as a reference point...

Plus the guy doesn't sound very convincing at all. There is no reason for him to not be able to track the object al the way as it doesn't disappear until he starts shaking the camera and it is too clear to be lost by autofocus.

I would agree to this looking fake, but i do have to pull a previous poster up about the length of the video. I have a pretty crappy Nokia and it only holds about 25 seconds of video, so even if they landed in my front garden tonight and said "greetings from planet Zog", i would only have 25 seconds of it on my phone to show you

It is fake. I checked it carefully and when it passes the second set of pipes on the building it appears it is in front of them. It is a good fake though.

man, I used to get really excited about these videos, but Ive been disappointed so many times, my natural inclination is that this is a hoax, CGI most likely...

kinda looks like armature CGI, and scripted, though I could be wrong, just the vibes I'm getting from the video...

Maybe I've been on ATS too long

ITs definitely fake, the UFO isn't placed into the scene very well, it "Slides" against the background when the camera shakes too much due to bad alignment of tracking by the artist. I think this has been discussed before but anyway to my eye its screaming badly done fakery.

The object does seem to go behind the building antennas. Still doable in CGI but if it were the late 70's people would be pretty excited.

Good post though.Whether its fake or not, I feel we still need to have these vids posted often so we can gain experience in spotting out fakes vs. authentic.

Very strange. It was following a set path, then the person videoing it seems to move the camera as if the UFO moved - but it didnt. Then when the camera refocused, the UFO seemed to be appear much higher than it was previously.

It doesnt seem right to me for a few reasons. One, like I said above, the camera seems to move despite the UFO not, which to me suggests CGI. Also something like this would have had several witnesses, its THAT clear, but Ive not heard anything about this before...

Still an interesting video though.

I agree that the "Jump" is odd (but some UFO believers can claim that UFOs can "jump" like that)...

...However that thing that convinced me that this is a hoax is that fact that the guy says "Whoah" before it "jumps". It was flying on the same level path and in the camera's view before and right after he said "whoah for the first time.
