He was blaming Atheism

Because Godlessness leads to making the rules as you see fit. I was blaming indiscriminate sex out side of marriage for children - children who end up with one or zero parents. I was blaming the "after all we're just mammals" world view for the breakdown of the family and society.

Being unable to raise your kids without throwing in "Be bad and you'll suffer for ALL ETERNITY" doesn't make you a bad parent? If you can actually raise your kids to be good for reasons OTHER then avoiding punishment THAT makes you a good parent. So humans back then had cars right? Houses? Space travel? Flight? WOW I must have missed ALOT

We both know that modern man has been around for about 200,000 years, that the first evidence of writing was only a few thousand back, and that these religious beliefs haven't always existed in the minds of homonids. Indeed, they appear to have sorta evolved from primitive animism to monotheistic religions.

Come on brainiac... the technology we have today is the result of thousands of years of accumulated knowledge.

When they designed the first car did they invent calculus to determine the displacement of the engine. No that had already been done . GET IT?

I bet they were smarter than us in a lot of ways. they didn't watch TV for one.

They invented mathematics, chemistry, physics using candle light.

The first humans were just as smart if not smarter- they just had nothing to start with.

The ancients were wiser. They lived alot longer than we do...which produces wisdom in and of itself. Just because they didn't have modern technology does NOT make them dumb. In many ways, they were much smarter and definitely wiser. And may I add, in a lot better shape physically because they did real work, not sitting behind a desk pushing a pencil or a computer button. We have to work harder now to get exercise and keep our physical bodies in shape...and all that takes time. They worked, played, and rested in much more regularity than we do...hence better shape. Better sleep = more comprehensive thinking = wiser.

Because the bible say unless you come as a child, the second reason I already explained to mel. Perhaps you should read the few last pages before you talk about us insulting our own intelligence. It's beginning to look like we are talking to a small child.
