Hi Guys!

I just found some pics from Mars. I really don't know if I'm soo platt, or are this some kind of hangars, houses whatever?

Hello I just found the proof of life on mars and nobody says anything?

looks like the remains of the airbag/landing platform that came with the rover IMHO

Hehe, I almost fell for it. If you look the second and third picture in order (go back and forward a couple of times between them), you'll see that's an optical illusion. What appears to be the horizon, in where you see the "houses", is, and I'm guessing here, some sort of protection for the lens. I can't really explain it well because English is not my first language, but what I'm trying to say is that it's nothing more than a piece of plastic on top of the camera lens which perhaps is used to keep the sun off the pictures. In fact you can see the real horizon if you look at the right side of the picture; you'll see the real sky from Mars right at the bottom of this device.

I hope you could understand what I'm saying, lol.

i think these are some new photos. Can you check where the rover is right now and on which position the landing gear stuff lays around?

Yeah, sure, whatever. Let's immediately jump to the most ridiculous explanation we can think of. I think if you look a little harder though, you'll see that those are reflections of other parts of the rover in the hazcam's sun shield.

Here's another one from early in the mission:

OMG!! Is it some kind of alien hive or something??

Yeah but its rear hazecam and there is no sunshild!

If this is a reflection I wonder what it is a reflection of?

check between the houses isn't there some like a connection cable???

Ok, I see I didn't explain myself very well, so I'll leave some pictures. You'll see that in the first two images the plastic doesn't change position although the terrain certainly does, but it does rotate on the third picture (which is the first picture you've posted).

EDIT: You'll have to click on the images to see them full. BTW, I now see that they are in fact reflections. If you look at the images and go in a straight line at the bottom of every "object" you can see they are reflections of the rover itself. It's awfully clear in the first picture.

Interesting, I wonder what I summer house on Mars goes for these days?
(Just kidding)

I think they may be right. I think it might be the landing platform/ or something reflecting off the glare shield. With the fish-eye effect of the lens it's kinda hard to tell.

If they are "Local Housing" it would be interesting to see how NASA spinns this one?

You guys realize NASA controls what we see correct? and they screen this stuff for some time before showing it to us, I mean it doesn't just come in and instantly go online without pre screening, I get the feeling many people believe that is what happens,

Why I do not know...

When NASA releases pictures that contain ET or whatever the like, they will tell us, they wont put a picture of an ET up and expect us to find it and remain quiet...

With that said I'm not holding out hope we will see any of the good stuff any time soon, NASA isn't stupid, you can try all you want to find an ET or ET objects, but you won't, Why? because again NASA isn't stupid.

People you can try all you want to find something, It still won't change the fact hundreds of scientists, geologists, ect, have looked at this behind closed doors long before you even knew they existed...

I know its been identified as the HazCam sun shield but just thought id share this bit of info abotu why it needs one.

"Mars is a dusty place, so dust will accumulate on the front surface of the camera optics. When the sun shines on the dusty front surface, light will be scattered to the detector. This increases glare and reduces contrast. The rover lenses must work, even when the sun shines on the front element."

that appears to be a wire mesh of some type, If you look close you can see that it appears to be an outlet of sometype.. what ever would be vented through it???
