It will be much worse than you can imagine. There will be catatrophic earthquakes and other earth changes on top of the staggering geopolitical upheavals which will wreak havoc throughout the world just as population peaks and strategic resources like oil, water and food are no longer available in quantities to meet the pressing needs of desperate people too numerous to count and too angry to be mollified with gilt-edge words and the false promises of empty deeds typical of a ruling class which always cared for no one but itself. Anon, Hell will be rent asunder just enough to admit that radiant light for the illumined path to be taken by those warmly welcomed in those cataclysmic days.

Does this have something to do with the fact that Congress really hasn't done much to help combat these high gas prices?

If another conflict in the middle east precipitates, then a new meaning to high gas prices will arise. I hate to be a doom and gloomer but this might be the trigger for world wide civil unrest and the United States is not excluded.

I'd consider myself a doom and gloomer, because horrible things are on the way. Period.

So yes, gas prices can cause riots if they go high enough. That's because people won't be able to function anymore - business will shut down (specifically airlines). Another stolen election may cause riots...

The elite in control of everything have really set us up to be screwed several different ways. Heck, if one way doesn't work, they'll just get us another way.

I'd actually be loathe to discount the source... you'd be amazed how many among the moneyed classes that run the country harbor segregationist tendencies etc... plus this guy advocates Lone Wolves...

Just saying it's not implausible.

This thread was started on the 21st March and the first bit is...

"the imminent collapse of the U.S. economy to occur by September 2008,"

Seems a little too close for comfort. I'm going back to check out all the original links now just to see what their updates have been/are.

Wow!
All you people that would not believe................shame on you.....

Here we are in January, and by golly several things have come to fruition on that list. The dollar is going to be next. You can't do what they have done, and expect everything will be just peachy. no way...........

Me and my family have guns, ammo, food and water. God help the rest of you when it hits the fan. Did you realize that large corps also control our food, not to mention our fuel. As we speak, the greedy bastards that caused our high gas prices for no reason, have all the tankers loaded and sitting out parked until the crude prices rise back up again. That's why we have crude under 34 a barrel, yet gas has gone up 28 cents in the last two weeks.

Bring it On!!!!!!

Ok peeps....here we are 3 years later and the government shutdown seems to be looming. I am the original OP to this thread and the things listed are really hitting home.

Check the date of this OP... 3/20/2008
The economy did crash around Oct of 2008.
The US government did not collapse in 2009...but at the moment...talks of the shutdown is looming.

FEMA requests 140 million packets of food and bodybags.

theintelhub.com...

Someone tell me there is nothing to worry about.

Wow...this post sure hit the mark...how was catastrophic earthquakes and other earth changes (ie weather and bird die offs) called back in 2008. Also geopolitical upheavals (sounds like the middle east to me).

Without a date or location given, anyone can make such predictions. All he said is that at some time in the future there will be some bad earthquakes and some geopolitical conflict. This happens nearly every year. No big amazing prediction here, just a statement of something that is almost sure to happen within any given 3-4 year period.

Being an American, the only thing I can think of is, isn't that title a bit of an oxymoron? The House of Representatives is suppose to represent the wishes of the general public. How can they hold a closed session and not let the general public, who are also the majority tax payers, have any idea what they're up to. I hate politicians.
