Sean "Diddy" Combs has denied a report by the Los Angeles Times that his associates were responsible for the 1994 robbery and shooting of Tupac Shakur at a New York recording studio, and that he knew about the attack in advance.

"The story is a lie," the hip-hop mogul said in a statement Monday. "It is beyond ridiculous and completely false. Neither (the late rapper Notorious B.I.G.) nor I had any knowledge of any attack before, during or after it happened. ... I am shocked that the Los Angeles Times would be so irresponsible as to publish such a baseless and completely untrue story."

The 1994 shooting triggered the celebrated feud between East and West Coast rappers that led to the killings of Shakur and B.I.G.

Interesting, that this is still going on after all these years.
Deep down I don't really care much, but thought that some of you would enjoy discussing this?

It's a shame that two great rappers lost thier lives. Let them RIP.

I watched a documentary last week on the East coast vs West coast antics of the early 90's, and then the shootings of Tupac and Biggie. This really examined some of the details surrounding the shootings and considered some various theories, and I'd be hard pressed to think that Suge Knight didn't have something to do with it.

His lies and outright fabrications of what happened that night, that are clearly documented, lead me to believe that he had something to do with it.

The whole fight at the casino (I believe it was a casino) where Tupac jumped a member of his rival gang, (the crips I believe) was allegedly set up by Suge and was put into place to give a motif to a gang related shooting.

Suge got hit with some serious time for his probation violations, but it was said that he genuinely believed he would get away with that and walk away from this incident.

It was documented that Tupac was getting ready to leave Suge and Death Row records.
