I had the opportunity to meet the Amigos last November in New York, and I can tell you that they are really great guys whose dedication to the site and us as members is truly awesome.
As for Simon being mysterious, not sure about that. I spent a fair bit of time with him that evening and he was very polite, has a great personality, fabulously intelligent, and of course...HOT! Sorry Simon...but it's true!

Me with Simon...November 5 2007

I wanna hang out with the amigos!

These guys (each of them) have either emailed me, or U2U'd me or something, these people really care about this site. I cannot say enough good things about the amigos.

If I were a rich man I would take the amigos on a Caribbean vacation with me just to show my thanks for making this site as awesome as it is. (now that would be a party)

Simon is still apart of this board, as well as the other amigos, I bet as big as this board has gotten they have little time to post what they feel on topics. But they are still here heart and soul. This is apparent in how well this site is laid out and how well it is run.

The contributions behind the scenes that we the normal members don't see is the contributions to this site that the three amigos bring to this site and make it, the best board on the internet.

Is Simon still actively involved with ATS? Viewing the management page on The Above Network site, it said Simon is the founder.

I am still very much around, and frequent ATS as much of every day as I possibly can.

As ATS has grown, so have the members and indeed, our moderator staff. With such a proud and intellectual bunch of guys and girls helping to keep this massive website running smoothly in the foreground, I find myself dealing with activities behind-the-scenes and not spending much time posting on the forums unfortunately.

Indeed, with the prominence and ever-wise postings of SkepticOverlord and Springer, I am not very well-known to most but the older members of this website.

That would be SkepticOverlord. You might not see much of that spandex jumpsuit and cape anymore, but he damn sure makes use of it at the ladies nights pulling in the extra bucks.

@ AccessDenied... You had to break out the pics didn't you! Grr.

@ Crakeur... Age/accent aside, I believe I left New York with not one telephone number. Maybe next time I'll make sure Crakeur isn't my wingman.

Simon you answered my question, glad to meet you. The ecosystem you created is very impressive, brilliant advertising vehicle indeed. "A continually evolving self-feeding content ideation, creation, and publishing ecosystem." Absolutely brilliant.

And next time I am ever in Chicago I want to hang with Springer (same deal man, Ill buy)

(And wherever SO is, I think NY, if I get to hang with you Ill buy)

But if yall come to my part of Florida Im taking you out to the island and we are having a party. I know the best bartender in the area, Let me know in advance though so that I can make arrangements.

Now one of my goals in life is to have my picture taken with SimonGrey, SkepticOverlord, Springer, JohnnyAnonymous, and Dave Rabbit That would rock!

Partying with the legends from ATS now that would be a contest!

Also if I were in England at the time I would love to meet Nefermore and Asala. A date with these two girls would be a dream come true.

All credit to S.O. and Springer for the ecosystem model, they invented it.
