How do i tell if im a flaming sword or a indigo child or anything?

plz help me find out if i am something i want to know if i am plzzz!!! i need help to find it coz i need something to do... i do wicca, magick, white magick and natural magick.... plz help me plz!!!!!!!!

If you are an indigo child you would know it.

Dunno what that fire sword business is.

Being this and being that isnt all that...

They are games of the ego - which in and of itself is not bad nor is it good...it is a tool.
But the tool lost control (or the one using it) and began to use others.

So labels is what we got stuck with and not just that, but more to the point is we got stuck to the labels.

Let me bring this around in different terms.

Nothing wrong with being the indigo or the firewhatever...but be it.
This is another way of looking at it.

"There is a difference Neo in knowing the path and walking it" (oracle or morpheus in Matrix)

Again the path does not make who you are, but it is (obviously) the story and role you choose to play on this stage. As long as the two arent confused you will be fine...but even if they are confused, you will still be fine as the roles and plays will act themselves out and wrap up nicely revealing the truth behind all things.

Isnt this fun? I think so.

several months ago, i took a test to see if i was Indigo,

you might search the ATS past threads on Indigos and find the post
i made which included the link to the Indigo Test.


then again, go to your local new-age bookstore bulletin board,
there's gotta be local Indigo groups which keep in contact,

but there's sure to be an Indigo 'meet' on the web,
at least similar to any Wiccan 'meet' your probably aware of .


( the surprize to me is that i was born +20 years before this influx of Indigo hit the mass awareness... ? so is that test accurate ?
how could i be 'Indigo' a generation before Indigos chose to be born into this world/ time-frame....

This thread was probably meant to be a laugh guys.

The large nail in the coffin for the indigo theory is that they say that almost everyone who is born the last 10 years or so should be a indigo. So why do todays teenagers seem just as obnoxious as they have ever been?

It was a nice dream though. Indigos coming to make the world a better place.

The attributes that 'Indigos' have are very common of people your age, and the people who created the 'Indigo' label often try and extort cash from people, I've seen it before and I'll see it again. It makes absolutely no difference if you think you're an indigo - It's a label, much like a sticker or barcode. And you sir, are an INDIVIDUAL. So no, you're not an 'Indigo', you're an individual. YOURSELF.

And another thing, do NOT, EVER, call yourself an 'Indigo Child', people will look down at you if you do, because the whole Idea of an Indigo child is one of the most rediculous many people have ever heard. I used to be 13 a few years ago, and I was CONVINCED I was an Indigo child... A few years later I thought it was rediculous.

Think about it.

People born recently have a 'higher state of evolution' or whatever, based on a Indigo aura people sence being around them. Perhaps it was created by someone looking for a quick buck? Or parents of a son who had 'problems'? An outcast who wanted to feel better than everyone? Or what? Reminiscant of the Nazis and Aryans.... "I'm BETTER THAN YOU!!1".

Don't let yourself fall into that hole.

I agree with this person. The concept of an "Indigo Child" is basically a being bored into a higher state of consciousness through process of evolution. Right? In theory it would be possible for such a being to be born, though I am unsure as to how that being would come to. The very idea of something such as this is a sensual one. It's the type of idea that everyone craves--wanting to have some type of greater meaning in their lives.

In that sense, what would be the point in labeling yourself an "Indigo Child?" Would an Indigo Child label himself, or herself, as being one; or would it be the parents?

The point is that, still in agreeance with this person, it would be best to be yourself.

You're the individual.

If you are that bored, why don't you volunteer to work at a food bank, or a homeless shelter?

You do have some control over your life. Decide what it is you want to do and make it happen. It might take some hard work, and no magick at all!

You are not and neither are they. Its all a pack of lies. Read the book Cold Reading for magicians or any other title on the topic. Once you know the hustle you can tip off others before they get burned too.

One more thing. The Amazing Randi has $1,000,000.00 in a trust and has offered it to anyone who can prove they are an indigo. Guess what? not one single application to test has been turned in. That alone should clue folks in to this being a con and hustle to take your money.

I would dump the magik stuff. It not needed, its all inside you already.

Here's a suggestion for you, thejessedude. Be yourself, and don't worry about imposed titles, whether self imposed or by others. Seriously, if you are a good person, what does it matter what you call yourself?

You don't need to be an Indigo (whatever that's supposed to be) to do good in the world. I'm guessing here that you are fairly young, so I'll be so bold as to send some advice your way. Start volunteering, reading centers where you can help people learn to read, volunteer at a hospital, where there are sick scared lonely people of all ages who could use a friendly face and a warm smile. See? Any number of things you can do to help the world with no recourse to new age mysticism required.

Just be yourself, nothing else is required, or expected, of you. It'll probably be more than enough.

.. my guess would be either you're not 'an indigo child' or they're not as intellectuel, precocious and awesome as I've been told.

On the other hand, there are OLD people here who thinks, it's trendy to put those smileys everywhere - and use exlamation and question marks excessively. (I personally think it shows a lack of intelligence and good manners.)

What comes to the subject, most seem to think you'd know yourself if you're an indigo child. Some think we're all 'indigo' but we just need to realize it and start to live like one. Also there are those who think everybody has the 'potential' of being an indigo child but we need proper education and special environment to become as such. I feel the very definition of 'indigo child' is so vague and loose, almost everyone qualifies in the end.

(And it's sad most 'special' people get overhelmed by their own ego and cease to grow up as a human - and share their gifts and talents.)

Indigo children are believed to have a new chromosomal mutation. The mutation is occurring in people who have A+ blood type.

All I know is that 'Indigo children' have less respect to others and generally speaking less common sense, than generations before them ..... Why would anyone want to be such a person?

Being an Indigo is neither a plus nor a minus. There are some people who believe that Indigos are the spawn of Satan. Other people believe that they will bring in a new age utopia. They are people with a specific chromosomal mutation probably brought on by the pressure of culture.

It's quite easy - since neither exist, you are neither.

Why is it we require massive amounts of evidence that, say, a TV is a good model before we buy it, yet some folks will leap on insanity like indigo kids and 'flaming swords' without any evidence what-so-ever.

Weird, huh?
