DALLAS (CBS 11 News) ―
A mother faces two counts of attempted capital murder after she dropped her two children more than 20 feet from the Jim Miller Bridge off Interstate 30 in Dallas.

Police do not know what prompted Khandi Busby to toss the children 22 feet over the railing and then jump herself, but consider the children lucky to have escaped death

Wow...just horrible. The description in the story of the boys struggling with their mom as she tried to throw them over just makes me want to cry Thankfully the two little ones are ok...although I'm sure there are years of therapy ahead of them after something like this. I hope she's put away for a very long time...

Who really exepects to die from jumping two stories? Most people don't die from such short falls. I'm not sure how this is more of attempted murder then say, jumping or pushing someone off the top of a van. You can hit someone and kill them in one hit, but that doesn't mean you attempted to murder them by punching them. Any decent shark defense attorney should be able to get this woman off the murder charges.

Can't smoke in public, can't drink in public, can't jump off of overpasses after we push our kids off! Where do we as a people draw the line? When are we going raise up and tell this government that we've had ENOUGH! Give us back our liberty! Haha.

This reminds me of the guy who put his girlfriends kids in the dryer. Maybe the lady could come up with the same excuse, "I was just showing them that we didn't need money to have a good time."

What's a little playing in traffic among family during times of severe economic stress?

Come on, have a few paint chips while you're at it. Too bad this lady had the privacy to attempt to kill her kids.

This woman absolutely should be charged with attempted murder.

These are little kids dumped over the side of a bridge into rush hour traffic!! It is absolutely possibly that it could have killed those kids - and killed people driving their vehciles. There are a number of ways these could have and should have died. Obviously it wasnt their time to go, because the fact they lived is a miracle.

Give us back our libery?????????? To kill innocent people? WTF?!
