Good luck in your search. I just find it highly odd that you both saw this independantly and are newcomers today, and apparently not a soul else on here, some of whom I don't doubt actively look for this sort of thing, has seen what youboth did.

I really hope the footage can be found so that it can be analysed, assuming there is in fact anything to analyise it for...

Where did I use the word unthruthful? I simply pointed out the known facts.

I'm simply jaded by the whole 'i've created free energy' fiasco of the past few days.

I'm sure it is just a coincidence and that others whohave seen it will be along shortly to say so. But hey, it's some time after the fact now, and no-one has.

Oh, and while I'm at it, what are the flags on the thread for? So far it's just a story. The second some coroborative evidence is posted, i'll flag it myself and flag the op and the lady who says she saw it too. Untill then I'll watch this closely, and sceptically...

So far it's a story and a request for information. There's nothing to feel put off about, we don't yet know what we're even looking for, to check for other people seeing it..

Let's keep things civil.

Thank you.

do you?

I'm streaming the live feed now.. let's hope ill see something

My PRSCR button is nearby

They cut live feeds all the time...they never show the same view for more than about 5 minutes at a time on NASA TV -- they switch back and forth to views of mission control to views from the Shuttle, to views from the Space Station. Just because they happened to cut away at that moment (something they do all the time) doesn't mean they were intentionally hiding something.

I also haven't heard anyone that has been a member for any length of time say they did watch the launch from lift off to orbit and actively deny the OP's claim. Where are those people to say they saw nothing?

Everyone has to sign up on some day and I find it inspiring that our new members came here to look for answers and sad that no one but some new guys watched the launch.

Are people going to start asking for proof that they even lauched a shuttle today? Ignorance.

He saw a UFO in a live broadcast of a shuttle launch, came here to inform us of a strange occurrence and asked for help getting the footage.

He said it was a UFO didn't he? He didn't say it was an alien spacecraft. Although he did emphasize the UFO's strange behavior. If other people witnessed it, they would probably have shrugged it off as something normal, or simply didn't notice it at all.

I can understand your skepticism, but try to analyze his intent without the intent of finding the 'hoaxer' in him, so to speak.

This is true. My apologies if I seemed overly critical.

spoodidly,

Please be careful throwing around the word 'ignorance' in places it should not be, it's il-placement can be quite offensive. Scepticism is not ignorance...

Technically he said he saw it 2 hours after launch, not during launch

From what I understand, cooljayman is trying to get help finding the evidence so we can see it as well. What part of that seems untruthful to you?

I took Vector J's statement as a rather tactfully articulated 'heads up'. We should all be critical thinkers here. I starred and flagged this thread because it sounded interesting, and because I wanted to see how it develops. I give the OP the benefit of the doubt because I haven't seen a reason not to. BUT ...I must say, that if I was just a degree or two more of a tin-foiler, I would be starting to get a little suspicious of how things have read here - almost like a parody of itself. Like, hmm I dunno, a person or two (or more) are deliberately trying to create confusion. I won't name names but like I said in my earlier post, if there was a "slap" feature I'd be doling 'em out like hotcakes. Ha!

To be analytical about the two posts by people who claimed to see it on the live feed, I noticed that the OP said the video cut to a shot of Mission Control. The other said something else. Entirely possible, but can anyone here comment on the probability of there being two different edits being fed to different stations or parts of the world? Again, not to sound doubtful - I believe the number of pages being generated - which I'm guilty of contributing to - is a result of over-eager "debunkers", and not people who have READ THE THREAD and have things to add while they patiently wait for things to happen.

*SLAP*

Right, when it was in orbit? Then they cut transmission. Sounds like a cover up to me, if that is how it happened exactly.

Good looking

To Teratoma, the other particular person you clued said the UFO part lasted for about 12 seconds, which is consistent with what was said by cooljayman, that they cut to mission control shortly after the UFO appeared. Then there was static on the big screen in mission control.

He said the feed cut totally . Not just cut to a different frame or angle . Like static. Then it showed the command center with static on the screen . If i read right ., Its been a few hours., I will go look for hte quote tho for you .

No!! it would not be in that youtube clip, it happened much after that when the shuttle is in orbit. It was about 20 mins before when I first posted the message to ats. I'm not sure how to work out what time it happened, but if anyone out there can figure it out, it was 9:57 pm on my clock Adelaide(Australia) Time, when the object came just behind the shuttle, 7 seconds later the camera cut to mission control.

Next post he made

Oh one more thing I want to add, when the camera cut to mission control, even that main big projection screen they have had static and was blanked out!, I've been watching pretty much all of the shuttle launches live for many years and have never seen this happen!!

You haven't seen anything to be skeptical of. If there is something in the frame that you doubt is anything of significance, then be skeptical. Right now people seem to be wary of whether the OP even watched the launch and as an exaggeration I made a joke about needing proof that the launch even happened.

I used the word ignorance in relation to how self described intelligent people want to be spoon fed every last detail of information just to cast doubt on it rather than do any search for truth of their own.

Ignorance is the condition of being uninformed or uneducated, lacking knowledge or information.

PS
I was not directing any derogatory statement towards you but rather the negative skeptic mentality as a whole.

Some people might think this is something historic. The problem is that this has happened at least dozens of times. I'm convinced that nearly every astronaut that goes into space sees these things. Only a small fraction of the astronauts have come forward with their stories, photos, and videos (probably comparable to the ratio of pilots who witness UFO's and decide to come forward). and ALOT astronauts have, indeed, come forward with astonishing stories. Some can even be confirmed with radio transmissions, photos, and video evidence.

There has even been footage shot from out own space shuttle of objects appearing and reappearing in the ultraviolet light spectrum. How is it possible that all of this evidence can come forward while NASA continues to call these objects ice or space debris? Ice and space debris cannot instantly accelerate to speeds that would liquify a human body or change trajectory to avoid being hit by ground-launched projectiles/missiles. There are multiple cases where there is NASA-taken video proof that there are unknown objects in orbit that are being fired upon by someone to some end.

NASA is smarter than to call these unknown objects space debris or ice. I know they are!! We have all been lied to for decades. NASA isn't going to override the government either on this issue becuase NASA is funded by the federal government itself. If someone is going to tell the american public that aliens are real, it isn't going to be the NASA administrator. It will be a president or other political leader and only at such time that THEY decide it is the right thing for their citizens to come public with such information. Here we go again! Government making decisions on what we should and shouldn't know (as if they assume we are all ignorant of the truth when it has been right in front of our eyes for at least decades).

I saw exactly what victoriawarrior indicated and it was described exactly. Similar to a glowing worm that was pulsating.. The tail of of the shuttle was in the left of the screen, the Canada Arm was in the right.. this pulsated and squirmed slowly, and seemed to go from left to right then hide under the arm. The camera DID zoom in on it, and if anyone reviews the footage it will be quite apparent what was seen.

I have searched for the video a good part of the day, and joined to post this because this is the only place that seems to mention it.

While leaning towards being a believer myself, I took Vector's comment as "critical" rather than "skeptical". For instance, I have a critical opinion about the way this whole thing is developing, but I'm not skeptical of the stories. Will one lead to the other? Maybe. Is that a good thing or a bad one? I can't say, but I know it's not gonna happen without more information.

[Edit - for punctuation(that kind of thing is important to me, dammit!)]

You'd figure at least ONE person here on ATS of all places would be documenting and recording a shuttle launch. Perhaps too much manpower has been spent critiquing and judging each other and not enough looking out at the outside world.

Surely someone out there has this footage, if it is real. My gut feeling tells me this is another sensationalist post, but I will hold my judgement for now until the footage surfaces, and respectfully thank the OP for sharing.
