Great job free_spirit for finally finding the sequence OP mentionned *star* if you could find out exactly how long this was into flight time it might facilitate others in futher search for the specific footage.
Do you have a possibility, even with loss of quality, to post a video file of what you captured and not just the frame shots?

As with everything time will tell.

I watched a show about the shuttles and the Astronaut hosting said that nothing would come out from the cargo bay (debris) because they have to make sure that everything in that area is totally secure.

Lot's of people tape this so it is just a matter of time.

There is a site called Projectprove.com and they have tons of anomalies on this site just for sts missions and they show you how nasa snows up and color bars the picture every time they go to the dark side of the earth.If you get the nasa channel you can see them do this live.

Why do people keep posting the worm video thats over two years old???

Not to mention it resembles a craft, and not a broken strap/tether, or other odd type of space debris that comes off the ISS, and shuttle.

We've wasted enough time and pages on stuff that has no relation to the original post. But now that we've found what the OP saw (well at least Screens of it), the thread is bombarded with an upload by Dali77 (a well known and respected (imo) ufologist among other things on You-tube, but again, that is not the video we are looking for. So please, please, stop posting it, or make a new thread about it.

Th OP is talking about something he saw IN SPACE ABOUT 2 HOURS AFTER LAUNCH after the shuttle was in orbit and after it opened its payload bay doors.

The OP's question has nothing to do with the launch itself.

I hate to be the noisy skeptic here, but I saw the sequence posted and all i see is another fuzzy dot against a black background, and not the brilliantly multi-colored writhing worm as mentioned by the OP. Still holding my judgement until a video surfaces. Thanks to the OP for sharing regardless.

OBTW.........around 7:10a.m. PST, Foxnews mentioned this event. I was in the gym at the time, but did see a picture of the shuttle along w/ the subtitle "U.F.O.". Unfortunately, I could not hear what they were saying, but it appears that it received a little attention from the media.

The only reason that I posted the Video that was from an earlier mission was to show people what the U.F.O. that I and others saw yesterday morning resembled. I will be very glad when the full video sequence comes into view on here so it can be studied, all I know is that cooljayman, victoriawarrior , and I saw the same "worm" thing, that was pulsating, and got enough attention that it was zoomed in on by Nasa, and to clear the record straight for those who said I just joined the other day? Nope. Ive been here for a little while. I hope the video is found soon.

The OP hasn't been saying it was a large multi coloured worm, but HAS stated it was a strange semi circle seen while in orbit.

I cannot agree more with the people getting annoyed with others that simply refuse to read the thread. For the sake of the thread and finding footage to get to the bottom of this I'm making a plea to COOLMANJAY

As for the pictures released and the fact that the feed changed very suddenly, it does seem a little strange and whoever posted noting the strange panning and zooming that happens your not the only one to notice this. It does seem that certain protocols are in place for anomalies

ABOUT THE DELAYED TRANSMISSION THING
After I read the post about the 9 min. delay (good info) I remembered something. In a book about Neal Armstrong I think --his wife and family were home keeping up with the mission etc.--there was a seperate communication feed set up in their bedroom. The wife would run back and forth from the TV (in the living room) to the bedroom, and compare info. I don't know if there was any type of delay back then. I wonder if the modern day guys/gals get special feeds into their family homes. I wonder if they are delayed too. Hummm

Here it is the video sequence for you. I managed to capture the footage
and uploaded the sequence along with original audio. I choose Google
but I must say I'm quite dissapointed with the final result by Google.
I captured and compressed the footage on DivX-5 and the audio on
MPEG-2 Layer3. Google Video recompressed the video to flash flv format
resulting in a degradation of quality and resolution as well as reduced
the video size. Sorry but that's the best I could do. That's why I hate
those Internet video websites.

In any case the video is good as reference to that incident on Day 1
that has been discussed here. I also made a zoomed version of the
video sequence to see more detail. Too bad those small lights around
this luminous object can't be seen due to the quality lost.
