Good evening to you. Is it possible after editing ones avatar and text, to simply return it to the default prior? Certain text colors are very difficult to view, and strain the eyes.

I think you have to spend the points in the ATS store in order to do that I am sorry once that you purchase something with your points your stuck with that until you get enough points saved up to correct the issue.

whatukno is correct, you must purchase new text colours from the ATS store.

I believe black is "000000" though I'm not sure

To return it back to default, you will have to make another purchase to change the color back to white. The color code for white is 'FFFFFF.' If you want to remove your avatar, I think you just have to delete the URL from your member center and press submit. Hopefully I remotely understood your question.
