Intelligent Design Rationale

Let's assume for the purposes of this thread that we are intelligent designers and have the ability to create life. I want to explore what properties, as intelligent designers we would give our creations. Specifically, would we provide a mechanism to adapt to the environment, or do it for them?

Science now can create organisms artificially.

Assume we have the ability to "design" anything we want - what properties would you give your creations so they are best suited for the environment?

I'd make a bigger separation between the waste and recreation zones.

I'm sure it can't be very healthy to have the local fairground next to a contaminated waste site. Moreover, it would make sense to ensure that the newborn release zone was big enough so that both newborn organism and organism carrier had negligible ability to expire during this process.

So, that's a couple of useful design features.

No X-rays eyes though!

First off, I do believe in evolution (it just sounds like a more convincing theory to me) but that's not important here.

Your question is very interesting, if I was a intelligent designer I would indeed give my creations the ability to adapt to the environment.

I would also create many different life forms to see which adopt best to the environment etc.

( I STILL believe in EVOLUTION though )

I'd make an organism where the cellular creatures that make up the organism are actualy smarter than the creature itself. And communicate better.
