Sorry Miller i have to butt in here for a second or two ^_^

Sometimes people can have troubled lives, like their parents or their family members dieing, resulting in trauma for a very long time.

This could very well be true for yourself, Jedi, since you think you nephew is possesed by a devil. So, it's easy for you to see it in other people. Try looking to yourself for answers as to why you are surrounded by all these evil people. I mean look in the mirror, please.

Those of you suggesting things like garlic and turning brooms upside down DO realize they only work because of the strong intention and belief placed in them right? and while its a very simplified watered down version of old occult knowledge the law of attraction certainly does work but only if you believe it works. the human ability to alter reality runs on complete and total faith in your abilities so start out small and work up your confidence a bit first

I am sorry if this is a copy too long of a post, but I have to say, it's appropriate in the response.

I for one would think a person is a bit odd, for putting a fork in a broom. I would wonder how it would be use to clean a home, for instance, because I am not knowledgable in the thought of a fork in a broom. For me, not being a shy person in a case like this, would, grab the broom and demand an explanation. Is this some new home fashion decore? Just an example. So If I had no clue to it's intent, I wouldn't believe it worked.

I'd be like dang, you swept up a good fork in your broom! What a waste!

If you are uncomfortable with a person, the best approach, in my opinion is to just lay it out on a table and tell them. What do you have to loose, by telling them how uncomfortable they make you feel?

If they can't understand your trepidation, then it is time to talk to a supervisor, or leave. Really, a situation like this is up to you. The world is full of a lot of people that won't be to your liking, so either be there in the situation to benefit yourself, or get out.

Do what is best for you! Without doing harm to another,

it was said in jest. If you browse the thread, you'll see my original advice is basically what MrWupy advised.

The rest well it's real "hoodoo" practices and if Jedi feels so strongly I rather him try that type of magic than wanting to "destroy" his enemy.

let me explain this broom and fork to you guys. It's a hoodoo thing, you know old school folk magic.....

the visitor isn't really supposed to see the broom turned upside down with a fork sticking into it because you are supposed to have it upright behind your door. How many guests have you had that turn around to watch you close the front door and see what you have behind it.. you could probably leave it in the broom closet and it does the same purpose.

the broom is used as symbol to sweep things away, the fork is probably to symbol a blockage so whatever or whomever is being swept out doesn't come back.

look up hoodoo practices and rituals if you're all so unfamiliar with folk magic. And yes I agree with the poster... this stuff is all based on intentions and expectations.

Pretty much. they would pick up on your intentions and feel uncomfortable around you until they left because you focused on that intention so much that their subconscious would pick up on it even if their conscious mind didn't because any focus point starts a process similar to the law of attraction (or repulsion) thats like a subconscious visualization that goes on even when your conscious mind isn't visualizing it. not sure if i explained that right i know i could be better at explaining myself sometimes but i hope you understand what im getting at. the secret behind magic is intention all the props are just there to give your rational mind a reason why it should work while your true self (the subconscious) works its "magic" on a higher level

that's pretty good, probably better than I could have said it.. but yes, that's how I also think "hoodoo" works. Also if you've noticed hoodoo uses alot of physical objects .. i think that's the a way of focusing and containing the intent aka magik, unlike the secret thing in which you're sending out intent all over the universe, here's it more focused.

btw.. i'm no hoodoo expert, just grew up with alot of this stuff around me

Just to reiterate something, jedimiller, you really do NOT want to be getting into all this psychic/spiritual warfare stuff - "energy vampires", "hoodoo" etc. People blasting away back and forth with mind-control, bait-and-switch, intimidation, threats, blackmail, coercion, railroading, dark and light forces and energies etc...

Much better to just say "hey hun let's sit down somewhere and work this all out over a drink like civilized adults"

Never whistle while you're peeing!

Live long, prosper, and may God be with you!

Rather you believe that magick is mind over matter or some mystic manipulation of the atmosphere around you, it is real, it does work, and as most here have told you, it can come back to haunt you litterly! Magick is nothing to play around with and doing so is much like playing with a gun that you don't know how to shoot. That said I understand your pain.

There are ppl who cross our paths that definitely suck the life force out of us. These ppl not only dwell on the negative but create negativity everywhere they go. They're always sad or angry, always demanding, always causing drama. They can't just live and let live, and any sign of happiness around them is quickly dwelt with by using comments like, "That's so silly" "You're being rediculous" or "You're a blond aren't you?" etc... Sound familiar? Anyway, there is one non violent way that doesn't involve magic, restraining orders, or weapons of any kind. It's garanteed to make the worst of these ppl go away. I've used it many times and it always works. Ready? It's the why question. For everything thing they say ask why? Believe me it works, and if you don't know what I'm talking about, just go hang out with a 3 year old for a day. lol That question will absolutely drive anyone nutz! It will only take a couple of encounters before this other person will be avoiding you! But fair warning, you can't laugh this off, you have to ask why to everything they say and ask it in all seriousness.

I know this sounds silly and well... a bit crazy, but I use it all the time when I want to be left alone and you'll be surprized at how fast the other person will run. lmao

Good luck!

Jedi, what you want is a personal spell that will prevent negative energies from reaching you. Find a candle of a color or fragance that you find repelling. this candle will represent the person you do not want in your life. Find another candle that represents in color or fragrance that which you like, you will use this to represent what ever positives you want in your life. On the 20th of march during the night of the full moon light the candle that represents the negative in your life. ,(March 20) light the candle near you, chant over and over that you will no longer let this person affect you. before blowing out the candle move it just a few inches away leaving it there untill the next night when you light the candle again. Continue until the full moon is gone and the candle is across the room by then.

Once the moon is waxing coming back around to full use the candle that represents the good you want in your life but start with the candle far from you bringing it closer with each time you light it and chant the thing that you want in your life. Dont remove the candles from your magic line until the spell is complete. Check any moon chart to keep track of its phases. Candle Magic

hI I may have a answer if the person intends on harm then you as a human or other wise may defend. try the vampire codex. michelle belager and you may attempt too use a ritual as Lbrp then use a invoce ritual if the person is causeing harm on perpose by all means use what force nessary. or grounding techniques it is better not too harm use the triple cross ritual of the grey sisters as protection also search your feelings very carfully. the pserson may not be awakened it may be subconscience. try drawing a ring around your body. try not too cause harm except in the most dire concept. check out dion fortune phychic defence. better too call apoan a angel of healing and protect and remember love is under will will is above all try spirtual alchemy tranform any negitive energy too afford the person good fortune. once the sheild is up the person will give up as it harm not .
