Is The Disclosure Project dead?

Rear Admiral Delmer Fahrney served as the chairman of NICAP in 1957. At a press conference he stated "No agency in this country or Russia is able to duplicate at this time the speeds and accelerations which radar and observers indicate these flying objects are able to achieve."
In an Feb. 28, 1960 New York Times article Adm. Roscoe Hillenkoetter stated "Behind the scenes, high ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about the UFOs."

Has any of this shown up on the drudge report at all? it seems they are fairly liberal agressive in outscooping most sources..if the sun can put a ufo pic that turns at to be a reflection of a coke can..why not this..this has always puzzled me.. unless its some exotic military craft..which is quite sensible to squash that item..but this now..is a little different..Perhap Jim Marrs or Stanton have commented on this ...its good to get all the angles on this..before we jump into a rabbit hole so to speak.At least the thread question is answered..no the issue is not dead..thats good..lets hope we dont get bushwacked by april fools and joaxters and hoaxters that pop up with the easter lillies in the Spring as well..

I know Seth Shostak and met Frank Drake when I worked for SETI on a public project. I've always had problems with their only being interested in the Hydrogen band radio frequencies. I even mentioned this to Seth, but they have extremely rational hypothesis that has, I think, blinded them to a more progressed path.

I am, as most waiting for Greer to follow up. I liked his book. I have a good friend who worked with him for years on disclosure and according to my associate Greer is a bit self absorbed and uses people which ends up backfiring. I thought he was red-taped to death actually. The energy stuff got sideswiped by offers of money from outside groups to people Greer had had with working devices early on, I heard. Good news about Stanford and others. Hope that bears fruit soon.

I also think disclosure will be a natural occurrence before anyone can make a claim of cracking this all wide open. I'm thinking of investing in the makers of Depends Undergarments before that Expecting a run on supply.

Ummm sure. No problem. This is from the Disclosure Project briefing document, of South African Air Force documents detailing a 1989 retrieval mission that supposedly brought 2 of these entities back to America and 1 ended up on the Alien Interview video. It's quite a harrowing read - the detail was mindblowing to me - that the SAAF would go into such explicit detail - here it is, page by page:

They can be independently backed up by our very own ATS member Gemwolf, who remembers the incident being covered in the South African news media when he was younger. This is one such incident highlighted by the Disclosure Project I regard as indisputable. Now, you may read the document and refuse to believe the account simply because the subject matter at hand most likely interferes with your existing belief system, but that is pretty much to be expected, given what we are dealing with.

I believe the question that the Thread asked was answered without actually offending anyone. Is the disclosure project dead..the answer is no, which is far different than asking if ETs exist or are visiting now, the number of forums sites and other venues clearly point to a more than significant interest. Those would be appropriate for another thread which I believe several exist here. Ats own inquiry into ohare point to something unusual..and asking for disclosure quite in order along with the many witnesses in other cases. This does not prove per se they exist..but that PTB turning the other way is no longer tenable ..especially given tensions..worldwide with the soviets chinese and even terrorists...where a group of unidentified objects can easily trigger a false alert that might have irreversable consequences.

To discuss the best means to improve the various aspects of disclosure or examine the efficacy of the current are valid discussion items but embroiling ourselves into endless arguments do they or dont they exist will not be productive or conducive to the topic., not to mention unnecessary bad blood.

I saw "The Phoenix Lights" first hand...What they aren't telling you is that a MASSIVE craft flew overhead BEFORE the "flares" that everyone seems to be talking about...Those "flares" that everyone is so familiar with was most likely a diversionary tactic to draw our attention AWAY from what flew overhead prior.

Everyone got video and pics of the "flares", yet there is only ONE known video of the "craft" that flew overhead beforehand. That craft is what I witnessed fly DIRECTLY overhead!!! It was INCREDIBLE! If I only had a camcorder, I would be a millionaire!!!

Rest assured, there was a GIGANTIC craft that flew over the city of Phoenix that night. And, I saw it with my own eyes!

Awesome, I love the Phoenix Lights story, and have seen the documentaries and the formal explanation about the flares etc...and I have never heard that there was actual footage somewhere of the actual massive craft that everyone describes several hours before the flares/craft footage depending on what you believe? Yes, this is true. The Exopolitics movement, spearheaded by the Paradigm Research Group, is now leading the disclosure project.

I got to know Steve Bassett during my recent visit to the eastern US, and had an hour-long face-to-face meeting with him on 15 February. For those of you who don't know who Steve is, here's his bio:

This is a big subject and there seems to be a lot going on behind the scenes. According to Steve (and others, by the way) so many members of Congress now covertly support full disclosure that the serious money is on release during the first 90 days of the new Obama presidency, between 1 January & 31 March 2009. Believe it or not (many of you won't), discussions are being held about exactly how to do it. A five-minute announcement by the new president on all national media channels at prime time is, I have been told, under consideration. Obama's public pronouncements on the issue during the candidacy campaign - essentially deflecting questions and playing it down - do not apparently give any open clues on the MSM about his real intentions when President.

There are many reasons why disclosure is likely to be in 2009 - too many to list. It might have happened during the Bill Clinton presidency, but was allegedly blocked for procedural and legalistic reasons. Personally I am convinced that early 2009 we're going to see something major, but do not expect others to be so convinced until it happens.

No, I believe you are wrong about this. Understandable, because you are not dealing directly with people on the inside of Government, who have the power to push full disclosure. You would be astounded if you knew how many senators and congressmen in the US support and are working for it behind the scenes.

Conspiracy theories are comforting, as they enable us to retreat into our own private belief systems, and even allow us to feel in some way superior to those who don't share our particular madness. As Budd Hopkins has famously written, the hallmark of a conspiracy theorist is an inability to distinguish fantasy from reality. We must be careful of this.

The fact is, if the US Govt does not disclose its long involvement with the ETs & their technology, they will be beaten to the post by others - notably the Chinese, and more especially the French Government who are ready to disclose, with hard evidence. Think of the consequences for the US if it's forced into disclosure behind others, instead of leading the way.

Then there are the ETs. They have plenty of time and a lot of patience, but sooner or later may judge the time is right to park motherships over say 50 world capital cities on the same day, at low altitude. A move like this could hardly be ignored. There are reasons why a stunt like this has not been pulled thus far. But no-one can count on continuing discretion of this kind. It's safer for a Government to decide to remain in control of the situation and manage it properly. Think about it.

It's gonna come. Honestly. It is. It will be a shock for many, but it's gonna be done.

Whilst recognizing this as the standard conspiracy position, I honestly doubt very much that this would happen. For a start, there is almost no-one inside Government, at any level including the alphabet soup, who does not recognize the reality that the information embargo simply cannot continue, and there must be disclosure. It will be in stages, but it's gonna happen.

It's gonna happen here in the UK too.

A local stationj here in AZ, channel 3 www.azcentral.com... played the video of that craft ONCE on live TV. They called it "The Intruder" and showed the video of the craft on a special they did last year about the 10 year anniversary of The Phoenix Lights. It was taken from a little ways away but you could still see the triangular shape in the sky very clearly! However, the view I had on that night was MUCH, MUCH, better!!! Anyway, They quickly took the footage off the website after the story aired, and I have never seen it since.

The website I provided you may be your best chance of seeing it if you wanted to dig around, or perhaps e-mail someone that works there to see if they could tell you where to find the footage.

Let me know if you find the video as well, I would love to see it again!

As we have only just cursory material info on these people being a newbie myself in this arena, I ran across this from a poster Enlightenedseeker which brings an interesting perspective on the Shawn and Clay and Salle figures from much much prior to this event as well as more info on the "Source" I would look carefully at ALL the posts by Laura. its all one page so far..but should bring everyone up to speed..I hope.

I joined the newsite you posted in AZ and e-mailed an editor, explaining what footage I was talking about, so keep your fingers crossed that they will at least point me in the right direction!

I was unaware that the energy technology that was discovered by them was being sold to private interests. It makes sense though.

Hello, I am new to this board and topic, but i have been doing a little research on it. Please forgive me if this has already been said or does not belong on this thread.

I think the Disclosure Project was launched with good intentions and that a lot of the witness testimony does hold water. There are however a few things that strike me to be a little suspect.

If you run an organization that claims to want to spread awareness of a "controversial" subject. You would think that the information that you have compiled would be available for free to the public. You can find the press club conference on youtube, but as for their official website (where one would think you could find info on the cause) you have to pay them for the info. This doesn't seem like a good way to disseminate info that you claim is the "truth" and that the general public needs to know. Now I know any organization needs funding, but if the message is really this important then you could find another way to fund your cause.

The other thing is that Dr. Greer is starting to push his "path to enlightenment" it seems. If you are already pushing a topic that a lot of people dis-count and are having trouble wrapping their heads around, the last thing you want to do is ice this cake with a topic that is even harder to swallow for most people. I don't believe or dis-believe in the "New Age" way of thinking that he is promoting, but it does distract and take away from what they claim to be their main priority. I think it even takes away from the credibility of their cause. Even worse and I feel for them, it takes away from the credibility of the witnesses that stood up to tell their stories. Witnesses that appear to be very credible. This all leads me to believe that there was alterior motives behind this whole thing from the get go. It just aggrevates me to think that what appeared to be a very well organized and promising organization can be so easily be detoured by something. If Greer wanted to promote his new "path to enlightenment" he should have just started a new organization not piggy-backed it onto a subject and organization that has a totally different message and goal.
