What do you think they are? Life that was here before we were? Just curious about your opinions. I'm not going to argue your reply.

Maybe it's like a father who loves all his children regardless of where they live. The father might live in Arkansas but loves his three kids who live in in Nebraska, California, and Florida.

That's very cool in a sad sorta way. i remember discovering dali's artwork when i was about 14 years old, working in the school library. thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread. particularly liked his painting of the little boy peering under the edge of the sea, and the sea was floating as a layer above the desert and this little boy was peeling back one corner, looking under it.

A couple jehovah's witnesses came over to my house yesterday (or the day before) and told me jesus wasn't hung on a cross but a stake, a tree (with the limbs cut off). hadn't dawned on me, to be honest and i still haven't verified that, but they seemed to think that it was important that we refer correctly to how he was crucified. the crucified thing is something i don't like to dwell on. i like the resurrected part better myself.

But Fox couldn't the same paradox be applid to the initial cause of the Big bang theory?

wouldn't the cause have a cause have a cause have a cause have a cause have a cause have a cause have a cause have a cause have a cause have a cause ?

But I just wanted to let you know that you are my favorite person on ATS, AshleyD. Excellent thread!!!

Aw. That was a sweet thing to say, WW.

I'm rather fond of you too!

(fox is getting hung up on lexicography. so change it from "creation" to "origin of life" basically the same thing but he's/she's in the nitpicky mode)

Again, Ash...great try at an analogy, but....

You want to sell us...SELL us, on God, and you use a simple reference to a deadbeat Dad???

Come on, you can do better!!!

Sure, I'll have to look for it, it's hidden somewhere in the favorites of my puter (which is not very friendly to me by the way...sometimes more vitriolic than these posts).

But it's written by a Presbyterian scholar (I'm not Presbyterian - I'm not a demonination), but I take what I can from whatever I can get my hands on. And if it fits for me, it works for me.

It will probably take me a few days, so if you don't mind, send me a u2u to remind me. (My memory doesn't work so well).

Yeah, me too. That's the part that matters. Well, the othe matters too, but the resurrection part matters more.

Well, it is possible there's a variety of time loops. local, planetary, solar system, galatic, universal and variations in those. but if you can personally break out of a time frame, you can break out of a time loop.

yeah but a singularity?

what is it? who's it's daddy? an event horizon???

hehe we will never get creation because we cannot comprehend infinity

My favorite it this analogy...

Walk half way to the wall - then half way again- then half way again-
then half way again- then half way again- then half way again-

same thing you never will get to the wall.... so we can't eve comprehend between here and the wall how will figure out creation

OR, maybe, you can't.

Because, the stories can't seem to stay in synch.

First, the Universe was 'created' for God's whim, and Humans just as playthings.

THEN, we are told that WE are special, somehow...and 'pay no attention to the size of the Observable Universe....' Because it's all FOR ME!? Not for YOU!

This is the gist, on discusions, on THIS thread, so far....

BUT, when we dare to question the size of 'creation', we are told it's for GOD! Turn away, not any of your business!!

Do any of you get to see the problem here?!?

I think there was a race of bipedal reptilians here, potentially hybrided with greys as well. This is based on research from the ancient texts and the artifacts. The oldest statues to date, are all reptilian hybrids of some sort, around circa 4000 BC.

I don't have to 'sell' you anything. Grace is free and not mine to give or sell.

And. Uh. Zing?

Sure could.

But for the sixth time (I guess five isn't enough?) the origins of the universe are not covered by evolution. Period. I don't know if I can make it any simpler than that.

Undo,

No, I'm saying the origin of life, as well as the origin of the universe, is not something the theory of evolution covers. The origin of Oryctolagus cuniculus is another matter.

Also, if you're going to reply to me, please reply to me. Talking around someone is rude, even in text format.

Thanks for pointing out, the problem with 'snipping' sentences, or even parts of entences, from other's posts!!!

Read my last post, and please do NOT 'snip' my sentences....let it stand!!!!

Well I still think you're being a bit evasive on that one, but that's okay. Origin of the Species, that okay?

Spoken like one that expects only to be listened to but never to listen.
Each and every one of your gripes as been addressed and explained as false yet you continue to spout them.
Or do we need to set you up a atheist pulpate so you can preach?

First, the Universe was 'created' for God's whim, and Humans just as playthings.

Do you have children? Are they your playthings? I know mine aren't my playthings.

THEN, we are told that WE are special, somehow...and 'pay no attention to the size of the Observable Universe....' Because it's all FOR ME!? Not for YOU!

This was addressed as well.

This is the gist, on discusions, on THIS thread, so far....

Of your rants yes. Of what people are saying nope.

BUT, when we dare to question the size of 'creation', we are told it's for GOD! Turn away, not any of your business!!

Once again. See the line before the one before this one.

Do any of you get to see the problem here?!?

Yep. You.

P.s.: Fox. Undo does that ALOT. I asked him to stop myself. Well different wording.
