UFO HUNTERS on the History Channel

MILITARY AND UFO'S

Tonight 02.27.08 10PM EST/9C

"In 1956, an object was detected over the North Sea heading toward Bentwaters RAF base--a base with nuclear weapons. Two Venom fighters made contact with the object, but their weapons and electrical systems were rendered useless. Both ground crew and base radar witnessed the event. In January 1980, British and American soldiers stationed at NATO/RAF bases near Rendlesham Forest observed a mysterious object in the sky. Listen to a dramatic audio recording of the event made by USAF Colonel Charles Halt. Was there a cover-up about these events involving the military and intelligence agencies? Former British Minister of Defense spokesman Nick Pope will provide the British government's response. Hear eyewitness accounts and see footage that has never been seen on television that piece together compelling evidence of UFO phenomena."

Does anyone know what happened to the other UFO Hunters show on the Science channel? I haven't seen any episodes after the first.

Sorry to post in this topic but it didn't seem like my question deserved its own thread.

I've caught a show or two on a popular video website.

It looks like a really great show.

It's times like this I wish I didn't kill the cable.

However it was a waste of resources to have hundreds of channels with nothing on.

I posted that exact question with some one answering back it was to be picked up for syndication. So far no takers and it looks to be dead from the sci-fi angle. It may have hurt the rating value since both shows were simultaneously showing in the same time slot.

My question again with this show is why do they continue to investigate old cases?

The Bentwaters and Rendlesham cases have been gone over with a fine tooth comb countless times in the past. Why do they think they can waltz in there and dig up something new?

I would love to see them take on newer cases and focus their resources on that.

my question is, wtf are they investigating?

that suppose to be another plane crash?

FYI - They're in Stephenville Texas right now getting ready to film for an episode which will be the final show of the series in April or May I think.

I was just about to say that they should be investigating something like the Stephenville lights case.

Good to see that they are doing something more recent. Will be very interested in that show.

I hear ya! My guess is that this is a new show, for which they are trying to get good ratings. They pick popular cases that people might have heard about so they will tune in.

Its mind boggling that they look on the sea floor for evidence of something that happened 40 years ago.

Hey this show was really good tonight!

I mean, man they got new witnesses and even made an experiment on how it could not be the reflection of the lighthouse.

FINALY, THEY DEBUNKED THE DEBUNKERS!!!!

They put that stupid lighthouse theory to sleep for good.

It really was a good show after all.

I say

I don't really care for the guy from UFO Magazine. He seems to be convinced that most of these cases are extraterrestrial.

I also don't like how they talk about "proving" whether UFOs are real or not. Of course UFOs are real, they are simply something flying in the sky that cannot be identified. Shows like these always seem to confuse the term "UFO" with "Alien Spacecraft."

Anyways, I thought tonight's show was pretty good. I always had a strong feeling that it was not a lighthouse that these men witnessed, but tonight's show made a very good case for it not being a lighthouse.

Other than that... we don't really have much else to go on. One guy claims that he touched the "craft" and that he even saw symbols on the side of it. So I guess people just either have to believe him or not...

Yeah I can't stand the UFO magazine guy either. I hate when he's questioning someone about their story then he'll quickly jump in to finish it off for them. I just can't stand people who talk over others like that especially when their trying to tell others their story about something. He talks as if he's an expert on everything and there's no reason at all for him to where the UFO Magazine hat every time he's on camera. He wears that hat on any show I've seen him on.

Last nights episode was pretty good. They actually debunked the debunkers on the whole lighthouse theory and found new witnesses. IMHO that lighthouse theory was a joke anyway. How could 80 people mistake a light from a lighthouse as a UFO? It was hilarious when the lighthouse operator confirmed that there's always been a piece of metal blocking that light from shining into Rendlesham Forest/Bentwaters
I bet all the lighthouse theory supporters felt pretty stupid hearing that.

About them going back to old stories, I think that's actually pretty good. You never now what they might dig up. Rendlesham Forest/Bentwaters is a good example of this. They debunked the lighthouse theory and found new witnesses.

As for that UFO Hunters show on Sci-Fi, I didn't like that show at all. The main guy seemed like he just wants to look good on camera. Same thing for that main woman on there. They all acted as if they didn't really believe anything they were investigating IMO. They had the "I don't care as long as I get paid" attitude. It was also a pretty stupid move to put it up against a show of the same name on The History Channel. I'll watch The History Channel over Sci-Fi any day. Sci-Fi was good back in the day, but I don't care for it anymore.

I watched the show yesterday and 2 new facts surfaced.

1. It seems there was another eye witness to the UFO. A guard stationed at the top of the tower. According to hault, this guard saw the UFO direct a beam at the beam nuclear weapon storage area.

2. It seems that the lighthouse have a metal plate installed that prevent the beam from being directed at the Rendlesham forest.

Thanks for the update.

I liked the one episode of the Sci Fi show more than the History channel one. As others have mentioned, the History Channel one does old cases instead of more recent ones and the Sci Fi show seems more set on reaching an unknown conclusion as opposed to reinforcing an expected conclusion (that the event was aliens etc.).

edited for typo

this show is officially off of my "to watch" list.
each episode is getting worse and worse. its purely entertainment to "wow" people who may not be too savvy about UFO phenomena thats been going on for the past 70 yrs.

I watched this show and it was GREAT

I was familar with the Case, as i read what i thought to be all the info on the web about it...

But they still provided new information, as well as interviewing people.

The Scale model was a joke, and a waste of time, but this episode was Great.

It was my first time seeing it, and i will tune in in the future.

The scale model was accurate. It became a "joke" when they introduced a light representing the UFO. The intensity of that light could have light up the forest for mile. This was grossly over exaggerated to make a point.

YouTube had something like UFO Road Show where
this man caught his first UFO and went to visit different locations
and people that caught UFO videos.

UFOs remain the same and unless going slow and low won't give you much
detail.
When that happen the elite don't like it and will suppress the information as in
Belgium.
History Channel, or UK Intel, will not do much better.

The big breakthrough in UFOs must have been navigation upgrades
as in submarines and ICBMs and space probes the most.
Miniaturization and tantamount to celestial navigation, the emergence
of fleets of UFOs means the production is well under way.
