Fun US Adventure

Ok, I'm sure I'm not the only one faced with taking time off and not having a clue as to what I would or want to do. Oh don't get me wrong, I have 'stuff' I LOVE to do BUT the Black Opal mine is closed until May, I can't relic hunt here (perma-frost), bottle dig, gem hunt (oh even considered hiddenite (sp) North Carolina)...and ABQ, New Mexico. I love to rock, gem and mineral hound.
Any suggestions?
Oh and I don't mind a real ghost town to prowl around in with my metal detector. Yeah, I'm a real geek!

I have until April 3rd to experience this adventure.
