Scourge of Scientology Found Dead (Apparent Suicide)

CLEARWATER - Shawn Lonsdale, whose one-man crusade against Scientology made him a public enemy of the church, was found dead at his home over the weekend in an apparent suicide. He was 39.

Police discovered Lonsdale's body at 12:20 p.m. Saturday after neighbors reported a foul odor. They found a garden hose stretched from the exhaust pipe of Lonsdale's car into a window of his home at 510 N Lincoln Ave., according to Clearwater police spokeswoman Elizabeth Daly-Watts.

Daly-Watts said there were no signs of foul play, and police found what appeared to be a suicide note. It was not immediately available.

Now I know people commit Suicide all the time for whatever reason but this just seems to stink to me. I remember watching a few of this guys videos on youtube where he was filming some of the Scientologists and they were hounding him like a pack of dogs. He was confronting them about the level of manipulation and control that Scientology exert over some of its members and they didn't like it.

The church of scientology also hired a private detective to probe into the guys private life and they contacted his landlord and employers to inform them that he was a dangerous religious bigot after he stepped up his campaign to expose the church.

Now Im not saying that Scientology as an Organisation is capable of cold blooded murder, I'm pretty sure that the majority of scientologists are decent people, but something really stinks about this guys death. I think that there is possibly a very small rogue element among Scientologists, a Scientology special forces if you like, who are willing to take it to the extremes to silence people like Shawn Lonsdale.

Wow, someone claims to be in the middle of being harassed by a group and is found dead of suicide, yet that isn't a sign of foul play? Not even the possibility of foul play? Seems fishy to me as well.

It's kind of odd that the hose went from his car into his house. Wouldn't he just do it in his car with the garage door down? Seems elaborate for a suicide.

Sad. Keep chummin' Chief... Hooper drives the boat. Stuff happens.... rarely in isolation. Shouts now out. Expect trouble where the water ain't "clear."

of course. scientology is fricken evil. im not saying they are satan, just bad religion - its being even more widespread of suicides. and this guy just started to kill himself, right? SCIENTOLOGY SETUP. SCIENTOLOGY IS NOT THE FUTURE, THEY ARE THE CORRUPTION OF ALL.
