No i mean its exactly like the green seen off the film on the side . Which is not part of the picture at all . Leading me to believe this is some sort of artifact or a green backed film or somehting. Not a fireball.

no i see these, the fireball shapes aren't seen all over the pictures like the green parts on the film though

that's why i linked the other pictures so people could have a look around too and see if they can find more fireballs

Hi to everyone...This is my first post...although I have been in and out as a reader for quite a while. What moved me to post was the images found on pictures number (last three of the OP post):

External Image 1

External Image 2

External Image 3

These images are from the moon surface? What is that chunk of rock hovering?

Hi folks,

i spotted a Green fireball just north of Toronto in late October and started a thread on this topic. Here it is:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

The consensus was that was a meteorite that contained nickle-iron which made it burn green

check out that picture. i may just be stupid but there is something interesting at the bottom of it. this is only my second post.

here is another one of those weird thing.
161.115.184.211...
it looks like something is entering the atmosphere or something
161.115.184.211...
there is a what seems to be fireball trail in the far right middle of the pic.

As someone who constantly watches the sky I have seen many many green fireballs. I'm fairly certain they were all meteors.

The best one was on a catfishing trip with a buddy. I saw one literally bigger and brighter than the moon, it was massive. Just a huge neon green fireball going through the sky. The funny part about it was that it appeared immediately after my buddy asked "why the hell are you always staring at the sky?"

I just pointed...

I had seen one about 2 years ago here in Arizona. I was walking down the street with some friends in the evening and we saw a large green fireball out toward the west(Buckeye) and it exploded into an orange and purple cloud..I remember several people pulling to the side of the road and glancing back at other witnesses to assure they saw it too. The Air Force's explanation was that they were testing some missle, but why in a populated area concerns me.

Regarding Geminid meteors, this is nothing unusual... for some unknown reason, they never produce green meteors, and this is well known and observed throughout the meteor-observing community. I can't recall seeing a green Geminid, and I have seen many hundreds over the years. Geminids are usually white or yellow.

I think that it's also worth re-stating for this thread, that many meteors do start out being green, and some meteor showers are well known for producing green meteors. A photo of a green meteor/fireball is nothing too unusual in its self!

Hello.....

I am a Star Gazer. I like to look up at the sky and see what I find.

I have been in many situations where I catch a random shooting star

or even a crystal blue meteor shower on appointment.

One Night though about over a year ago. I was taken to a spot to hang

out with my friends and as soon as I stare into a specific spot in the sky

a huge green fireball suddenly appears. I have no idea what it is

though it was close to the ground given the aspect ratio.

so this thing is flying about a thousand feet or so in the sky and then its

brilliantly bright green circular body with a yellow color. The yellow

color forms a tail about 3 to 4 times the length of the green ball.

Then suddently after about 15 seconds it explodes and you can see

fragments fly in different directions. Do you know what i saw?

... SPEAKING OF GREEN BALLS OF FIRE.
For me it was after my stag-night.
I was 19, full of brashness and beer. My mates
had stripped me outside the night club and tied me
to a lamppost.

Unknown to me, one of the guys had stashed a can
of GREEN spray paint and with it he 'Da Vinci'ed' me
in the area where you've already guessed.

So for most of the evening until a passer-by untied me,
folk wandered the late-summer night and quietly sang
'Little green Bag' by The George Baker Selection.

I know, I know... explaining it to my old lady was another
story all together. Luckily, I caught up that so-called mate
and beat him to death with his own shoes.

What really gripes my ass, is that when a man kills another
man on the battlefield, it's heroic, but when he does it in the
heat of passion, they call it.... 'Helloo, only me and Garth can
talk to the camera.

The world's a twisted place nuh?

I saw one last night in Florida. I hAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT WAS. IT MADE NO NOISE, DIDN'T BREAK UP, and lasted a few seconds. Bob Weisblut

I have seen a green orb a long time ago, around 1975-6, in Goiania, Brazil. I was 10 years old and that sighting has been on my mind since then. Two friends who were standing beside me also saw it. It was a perfect green phosphorus sphere without any trail, sparkles, glow or sound. It had a slow descending diagonal trajectory until it disappeared behind the tree-line. It was a clear night with no clouds. The green ball was two times bigger than a full moon. It didn't look like ball lightnings or meteorites.
