Germany Will Continue to Watch Scientologists

The German government and the Church of Scientology have never been friends. Now a court has ruled that Scientologists are doing enough in Germany to warrant ongoing surveillance by the government, which fears an organized plan to undermine German rule of law.

Germany has a very uneasy relationship with Scientology going back several decades. The recent Tom Cruise incident comes to mind, but apparently it goes deeper than that. Does Germany know something we don't, or have they just become leery of cults in general? Nazism was a cult on steroids, after all.

Scientology has been repeatedly investigated by the FBI and I believe the police in just about every country where it operates. IMO, the CoS cannot be trusted and you cannot fault these countries for being vigilant.

Sooner or later some nation "could" choose to freeze all Co$ assets and order a forensic audit... on every listed member on the books. Not a witch hunt but a criminal public investigation... perhaps potential rackeetering for starters. Once one falls... other nations would perhaps see similar results and an opportunity to collaborate investigatively.
