So, I'm thinking of getting some new ink done.
And I've put a lot of thought into it.
I was pondering getting a Masonic-related tattoo.

I was leaning towards this:

However, I really, REALLY want to get a skull and crossbones as well.
I was also considering getting the phrase "Virtus Junxit Mors Non Separabit" along the underside of my arm.

I'm not really sure about that though (but I AM totally sure about the skull and crossbones...but I don't know which style I want.
)

I know lots of guys have Masonic tattoos, and it's not like I'm planning on leaving the Craft any time in the future.
I would like to discuss this with some of the Brothers (and non-member alike) and get some opinions.
Also, if anyone can recommend a really stylish version of the skull 'n' crossbones, that'd just be sweet!

Oh yeah, plus if any of y'all want to share pics and/or stories of tattoos, please feel free.

Hmm.. I like both ideas actually, the picture and the S&B's. And what Mason can call him self a Mason and NOT like Whom Virtue Has United, Death Shall Not Separate!? Personally, I would love to get a Masonic tattoo, if I could find someone who could do it well enough. Maybe incorporate some Celtic knots into it or something.

I like it. A buddy of mine (non masonic) has that same one tattooed over his belly button. He has a little marble eye thing but it looks great without it as it is masterful ink work.

Probably a silly question, since it's so obvious, but ... have you gone down to your tat shop to see what they've got for skull & crossbones?

Your pal,
Meat.

If I were a Mason I don't think I could pass up having something a little more unique.

Something with a little humor, ya know?

Uh, I'd rather not be one of those "I'll just head down to the tattoo parlor and pick something off the wall" kind of guys.
Well, most of my kanji tattoos are picked off the wall, but not before I diligently made sure of the correct translation with my handy pocket English-to-Japanese dictionary.
All of my others are custom.
My Bat symbol, my I Ching hexagram, even my Happy Noodle Boy, all custom.

I'm still looking for that totally sweet skull & crossbones design that is most appropriate for me.

Plus, I decided that I'm gonna cover up the kanji on my right forearm with a nice pic of, what else...the Monkey King himself! (uh...not me, but my namesake).

I was leaning toward this one:

Dude, when you come to NY, we'll go get some work done together.
What say you?
(uh, and don't pull one of those 'I'll have to ask the missus first' excuses)
Ha!
Just playing brother.

I was actually thinking about getting the 'Virtus Junxit...' one running along the length of my forearm on the underside.
I figured it'd look totally sweet.

I know, a lot of kids these days have some sort of skull and crossbone thing going on, but 99.9% of them have no clue where it comes from.
At least we know...so we should brandish them with pride.

Dude, I had the weirdest dream last night that you and I were going to get tattoos but we had to stop at a bar first. (well, that wasn't the weird part, because I know it's an eventuality. hahaha)
But in order to get a tattoo, you had to drink a whole bottle of Wild Turkey and eat jalapeno peppers.

Uh, does that mean anything to you???

Plus, I found this online:

www.masonicink.com...

I believe that you can even find brother tattoo artists in your areas.
Y'know, just in case any of you are interested.

I'm still looking for that something special skull and crossbones.
Someone's gotta know something...

Just so happens Wu, I may be in New York during the last week of May while me and some of the Brethren attend the World Conference in DC. I have family all over the area, and since I will be there I figure why not stop by?

And about the missus.. hmm .. she would murder me, no doubt.
But I think I can live with being murdered by a raging she devil!

This one is awesome, to big for me of course, but still awesome.

This one is also pretty cool.. I thought I saw the exact same thing on a ring when I was shopping for them.. turns out the guy designed this one after the ring.

A well done SR tattoo .. pretty damn good job on it actually.

Depending on how many beers we have before, we could get some Black Light tattoos haha..

This is probably my fav out of all of them on that site. And if I am not mistaken, it says "out of darkness" or "from darkness" .. er, Latin is shaky, but it is something along those lines.

That is My masonic tattoo.I am glad you liked it !!
It was done by Chris Govier in Swansea and he basically designed it for me when I gave him the ideas.
The latin means 'From Darkness Light'

Very surprised to see my leg spread around the net !!

Regards
