Sent to me recently - has a supposed Ufo on the right hand side. Fake or a real pic? I'm not really a big believer in ufos so I thought I'd get your input.

It was taken somewhere near Preston in Northern England.

Thank you.

Fake as a cake in a butcher's shop if you ask me.

Look's like something from the movie Mars attack's.

Take care.

Lee

Yes, it might be one of the invasion scouts.

clint web, may you ask to that person to provide the original image?
The one that he sent you seems to have been cropped, and it has been edited

Yeah. The full-sized original and a story would be nice.

The shadow on the grass is a nice touch, though. It really pushes the object back to the distance so one can't say it's simply a nick in the windshield.

You can never tell. I going to say it is real.

I've emailed him for the original. The one I have here is only slightly bigger by about 50 pixels.

There isn't much of a story to tell. He emailed me the picture quite a while back and said that it interested him because he knows the area. I'm from a different part of the uk.

It looks too good to be true to me though. Surely with something this size and so low would have had the cars stopping and people looking?

Looks like a Photoshop to me. The UFO is lower resolution than the rest of the photo.

on the contrary, you can quite easily tell that this is a fake. It looks like a stock photo from Google images photoshopped to include a stereotypical flying saucer. There's no mystery here. What's going to be fun is figuring out the search string used.

It looks like Europe and it looks like a somewhat recent image seeing as how one of the cars has the E.U plate. For some reason the skyline is very familiar so I'm going to go with:

Hungary or Slovakia as the locale.

Edit: I really don't think this was taken by the OP or whoever emailed it to you.

Wow this sounds interesting. Let's go for it. It certainly wasn't me that took the pic. That's certainly true.

I think you are going to have to modify that guess the cars are driving on the left a particular peculiarity of the UK.

I believe the op said it was from the uk.

Personally I haven't got a clue if the pic is real or fake... but there seems to be a tendency in this thread to give a verdict without really explaining how that verdict has been arrived at.

Just an observation mind you

The shadow cast by the vehicles appears to show a source that is very close to directly overhead....at least, just a few degrees off. It must be pretty close to noon. The shadow of the craft is far too off-set to match the car shadows. At least, I assume that smudge is supposed to be the craft's shadow. Additionally, the craft appears to have too much distance haze, relative to the terrain under and beyond it.
