Ok I am sick of it, it seems as though it has been snowing for years, this winter is really quite sucky this year. It keeps getting cold snowing, then warming up and raining, then snowing again. Usually it isnt bad because I can go ice fishing, but the ice is too sketchy for me to go out on, although it is probably fine. I have cabin fever something awful, I cant play another x box game or watch another stupid movie. I need sunshine, not just sunshine, but warm sunshine. It is too cold to go outside, I tried, but you have to put so many damn clothes on. I got to get out, now! :bnghd:

Any season is great in moderation. But I am starting to really want the sunshine now. The cold keeps me in, and exercise and sunshine are important for happiness.

We get snow occasionally here, several times a year in the city, and it's great (for me anyways
)!

Towards the end of just about any season I start wanting it to end. In Hawaii I said, "The heat really makes you appreciate the cold," whence my Aunt said, "First you should appreciate the heat."

What is with the [/borat] code? lol
Don't you still have to shovel out the driveway though?

I've never experienced it, but it would fun to make a path through some really deep snow (5ft or so). That would be [borat]very nice[/very nice] lol

Last year was our first year with a garage, and it is a damn life saver. I moved to Elkhart Indiana about four years ago from California, and right now I miss cali. It snowed in Northern Cali where I lived, but at least the sun would come out, and it would be warm when it was out. But here we have that stupid big ol lake, and the stupid thing always puts clouds over us. If it is clear it is colder then hell, if it warms up the damn rain is with it. UGH!!!!!!

It is pretty the first couple of times it snows and I really enjoy it a couple of times. But I am tired of hearing my noisy snow blower, and not only does it snow here, but being close to Chicago means the wind is always frigging blowing. Always blowing against where ever the damn snow blower outlet is blowing, and coming right back in my face. Doesnt matter which way the outlet is facing, the damn snow comes back at me. It is damn just coming down now, snowing really hard, so I will get to fire that blower up this evening after work. It is a frigging winter wonderland out there!

Stay updated around August when I start my, heat, horrible humid heat thread.

the borat code is so you can imagine him saying 'vary nice' in that borat way...
as far as shoveling, i can't. even if i wanted to my back would not allow it.

what i usually do is drive my car up and down the driveway several times to smash it down. if we get a real bad one where that is not possible then i usually wait till the grandma next door gets her dude out there with teh blower and flag him down and have him do mine too.

soon as my wife gets home we have to run an errand so i will run the car up and down

Shoveling and blowing snow is oh so much fun. I tell you what if you are ever back in this part of the country, I would be more then happy to let you do a little shoveling. It is a double edged sword, it is nice to get outside to do it, but you sweat and get cold. Seriously though, anytime, you can stay with me the whole winter if you want and shovel all the snow we get, really its fun, no really it is. I will tell you one thing the snow back here is alot better then the snow out west, it is really dry here, out west it is like cement, heavy, really wet, and lots of it at a time.

Every winter I go through this (in my head) "why do I live where it snows? why do I live where it gets cold? why oh why don't I move somewhere warm"?

Yet, still after all these years I move a bit north and live in the mountains? Because it's absolutely beautiful in the spring, summer and autumn.

So, I sit here today, watching the snow coming down waiting for the power to go out from the ice they are calling for later today.

i just looked at the radar, and it looks as though we have a little more snow to go until this one passes. Looks like there is some freezing rain heading east, at least it isnt doing that here. I hate that stuff even worse then snow, but it sure is pretty after an ice storm, downed power lines, cars in the ditch, chaos, quite beautiful.

My hubby and I live in the middle of 30 wooded acres that does look beautitful with the snow falling on it (as long as I'm inside).... It's a wonderful sight that many people don't get to witness in their lifetime....

But, I still hate the cold.

hahaha

30 acres? I used to live in 20 acres of pure woodland. If you live away from the land you can always go skiing; snow in the mountains is like nothing else.

The whether patterns have been really strange in the world. There was a cold spell around the world a while ago that even hit the city here and it snowed.

I'm thankful we can experience this without any serious trouble like Asia and the Middle East has felt lately (especially China).

the weather does fluctuate. We had it about 60 degrees around a week or 2 ago, and an ice storm before and after that.

I don't take the said "global warming" into effect, because I do personally think it's all hog-wash....

It's just the way it is. Back in the early 1900's they had the year with no summer where it snowed in June and July in PA.

The strange thing though are the days when it is Spring weather. Taunting times I tell you. Days before it snowed here we had warmth up to the point where I was almost tricked into thinking it was Spring.
