Older guys: Why do you think we like young girls?

I'm attractive to younger girls. I'm 35 and I should be dating someone my age. yet, I like to pick up on girls. 18-21. why do you think that is? Just wondering what you all think about this? nothing dirty, just like younger bodies for fun and such. I think it may have to do with our state of mind? like some of us feel younger than we really are? discuss. :w:

Could it be an ego booster for an older man to have a young, nimble young girl hanging on their arm?

Maybe man is unsure of himself and he feels superior to the younger female.

I believe you did exclude the sexual aspect of this matter so I won't go there.

All four of my husbands were much younger than me. I never dated a man my age until my currant SO. My reasons for dating younger men was that they were more fun, daring and active than older men.

At 60 I am thankful to have met a wonderful man 2 years older than me.

I see nothing wrong with your being attracted to younger women.

Jedi, if you like younger women,that is your choice.However I must say the title of your thread,combined with your age and the age range of girls you like..bothers me .
A 35 year old man has no place with an 18 year old girl.She is bordering on still being a child.Just learning how to be adult,and learning how to make adult decisions.
You may be attracted to the bodies of younger ones...well of course most men are.They don't all act on it however.I believe there is an invisible line that should not be crossed.Perhaps you just like the role of "Father figure" in a relationship?
What would be wrong with a woman in her mid to late 20's? Or do you prefer the college girl type?
She might boost your ego for awhile.Till she meets some young player looking for a score.There goes your arm candy.

I'm attracted more towards women that are younger than myself too. I've dated both younger and older; I've had girlfriends that were 11 years younger than me and I even spent three years with a girl 13 years older than myself... so I can't say I haven't experimented. I just prefer them a bit younger. An older man - younger woman is a more traditional matchup anyway. When older women show interest in me, it kind of creeps me out a little actually. And there are a lotttttttttt of women out there these days that are only interested in younger men. ick...

I dunno. I can't explain why I get the creepy crawlies just thinking about older guys, especially senior citizens, with youngsters.

Girls under the age of 21 are too immature and concerned about what they look like, who is staring at them, what everyone thinks of them, what their nails might look like if they tried purple instead of pink. I can rant for a long time about why dating a girl under 21 is not a good idea.

Hmmm.....Im a year older than you and just couldnt go there myself...

I think that age for me is to young, I dont think we would have anything in common and this would drive me insane.

I couldnt go out with anyone under 28 really, but hey thats just me, and im still looking for my perfect woman...although now Ive dropped the word perfect..

I used to think similarly ... but I stopped. Maturity is hard to find even in my age group (late 20's). 18 ... unless very rare, is not going to have the mentality that appeals to me in the first place. They may have the style I adore, such as dyed hair, loose fitting clothes, and other stuff, as well as a stronger spirit that still remains a bit non-conformist ... but unless they have all that and are calm, settled down, introverted ... just isn't my cup of tea.

I am so laid back, I just don't enjoy what most people even my age still do. Never been into clubs or bars. I have fun, just don't need alcohol or large crowds to do it. I find most younger people desire that, and the drama that goes with it.


I am one who believes personality wins overall, a cute face is nice So I really don't have an age restriction 18 to late 30s, an 10 year +- range from my own age ... but again, the older ones have their social quirks that don't fit into my view of a happy life as well ... so I just remain being quite happy as a single person. As far as sex drive, I turn it off when single, I save that for someone I care about very much.



I could care less what you pursue as long as you stay within legal limits. Kudos for any success. I don't mind seeing anyone happy.

I'm not sure why men like younger women. Maybe it makes them feel young too? What I do know is it turns my stomach when men old enough to be my father hit on me.

you could be right. now that I think about it. maybe 18 year olds are too young for me. my cutoff would be 21 for me too. maybe because i'd like to take them out to dinner and dancing. I like looking at the 18+ girls just to look. I have the sexual drive of an 18 year old. the last girl I was with was 38. I felt that she was too old for me and didn't have that fun spice i needed. I mean don't get me wrong. I was married to a girl my age for 8 years. and i've dated older too, but I just want to have fun and hang out with younger girls. guess I just wanna be hip. plus the dance club I go to is full of girls under 25. we get along good.

I am nearly 33years old, so from my age perspective I feel that maybe you are attracted to younger women because you may like the dominance that can come from being the older partner... Now, by dominance I don't mean (viciously, overbearing, etc.) I am talking more on a level of "taking control of "decision making". Where it is more accepted at this age difference level for a much younger female to be guided with choice making.

In 1970 when my mother was 18 and my father was 35 they met, fell in love and are still together till this day.. Even in those days it was morally forbidden for this to occur, but they made it work...

On the other hand I am 32 and my husband is 28, we have been together for 7 years and getting stronger every day... When I first met him, before even knowing how old he was I was attracted to his maturity, which I found very surprising.... My parents were against it but I fought back...

You know in your own heart, mind what your true intentions are and if there the right intentions then what anyone else says, "doesn't matter".

Love is damn hard to find but when you think that you just might have that chance - GO FOR IT!!!!

Let me be the first to say that you're no more perverted than you were when you're 12 or 35. It's just society's perception of you that changed, not you.

When I was in 8th grade I thought that 18 - 25 year old girls were the hottest. In 9th grade, boy, the girls that were seniors were the hottest in school. College chicks were even hotter. After I graduated high school, I found 18 - 25 year old girls to be the most attractive. When I was 25 the 18 - 25 crowd was the most attractive. Now, please explain to me what's different about my (or the OP's) perception at 35? Absolutely nothing. He's still focused on the same age group he's always liked.

Guys focus on the same age group no matter what their age is. Of course as you get older you realize that looks aren't everything. Eventually you even cringe at the thought of some poor soul dating an 18 -25 year old woman. Why would you put yourself through that kind of torture?

jedimiller, relax, you're perfectly normal. Just remember to "be careful what you ask for, cause you just might get it all, and then some you don't want." Now those are some words of wisdom. I'd say your admiration is fine but I'd advise against dating one of them. You're sanity is at stake.

Personally I really enjoy being older and not being a slave to a young woman's charm. My awareness of cuteness isn't coupled with my abilty to reason like it was when I was younger. "Yeah, you're a hottie, now go jump in a lake before I kick you there myself. You're attitude stinks."

Now you say that you were married for 8 years?

You are how old?

You say 35.

Stay with me here... 35 - 9 = 26 (when she left, you got divorced) so then 26 - 8 (the amount of years you were married) = 18...

I happen to think that a man of 35 dating 18-21 year olds has something wrong with them. I think someone hit the nail on the head, it probably is due to the fact that they are easier to control, being as most of the time they are mentally still children.

I happen to like older women, I have always favored older women, when I was younger and dated younger women I always had more fun with older ladies then younger girls. Older women know what they are doing, plus you can have a decent conversation with them. Not saying you cant with a younger gal, but it isnt as often as with older women.

I will tell you one thing if someone like you ever came after my daughter, i would kick the ever loving sh!t out of them. You arent but looking for one thing, and that is something that would just irk me if it were my daughter.

monkey is working as a detective in your case. Are there any psychiatrists in here to help out?

Holy crap lorena bobbit is really a member here? That women scares me, very very badly. Although if I were a women and my husband cheated on me I would probably cut ther bugger off also. I dont feel sorry for him, but jesus, ouch!
