Nuclear Weapons
I think about them sometimes. They are quite beautiful in some ways, and have dramatically changed the world simply by their presence and all that it
implies. I see them personally as a symbolic gesture of the ages, one which extends the hype of a dawning apocalypse. This age is unlike any other.
Think about that. We have gone from the horse to the automobile to the nuclear weapon to the moon to no one knows what anymore.
We hear about nuclear weapons constantly. Nuclear Russia (and the cold war, including the Cuban Missile Crisis), Nuclear Korea, Nuclear Iraq, Nuclear
Iran. Coupled with the media and someone directing it, they are the ultimate tool of submission through fear.
I have seen
Threads,
The War
Game, The Sum of All Fears, and several others. When nuclear weapons are exchanged...
Do you remember any drills that were conducted when you were younger, or have similar feelings towards this great flash of death?
